From what's been posted here before, it gives you a change at getting the next technology free every time you finishing researching one. I have read a ton of posts about this an no-one seems to know for sure. Take a look for your self. Anyhow <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smil
Rogue Metro
Based on keycode or actual symbol? (Meaning: can I use Y/X on a german keyboard layout?) I just meant so we do not have to click Next or Previous. So I guess I mean using keyboard keys
*Crosses Fingers *
Ok well since I have NOT been able to find an answer... And since the last 2 posts I made the Devs were gracious enough to respond (Yes I picked the +25% to luck) How does Creativity work? And/or DOES it even work? So we can put this to rest That is all, have a nice day <img src="smiles/Smile
Yes. In the final version 1.1 you will be able to use Z and X on the planet screen (and planet details screen) to cycle through the planets. Sweet Thanks! Me Love you Long Time!
Pleeeeeaaassssse???
Why waste a precious tile for something that gives a dubious benefit? I have to agree with BinnisterGC2. *Shrug*
It's probably population like AIL.ST said. I always have better luck taking over with population than I do by throwing Starbases around them. Usually once they are IN my influence boundaries THEN I pop a couple Starbases to make sure they go to 4+ influence.
If I want to nerf the troops I send in a small amount of my own and use Mass Drivers. Because you only loose PQ if you win. This is kind of unbalanced because I can send 500 troops at a 22B pop planet and mass driver them down to like 5B in only one run. But yeah I only use Standard, Info, and Mini-Soldiers. Since Meta Games are base
Yeah it's that wrist soreness thing again. Clicking Next and then having to click a focus for like 5 billion planets... Be much easier to simply hit Z or X to cycle planets while on the planet screen. *Crosses Fingers* for 1.1
Basically there was a bug that could cause the game to crash at start for some people and we added the abilitiy to cycle through planets witha hot key Z and X (select a planet first). Sweet. Thanks for the prompt response Frogboy. Appreciate it as always.
Look in the journal. It lists everything new. It's not in the journals...
Bump to Appear
Just curious as to what's new in Beta 4 .018 that's now available. I am afraid to grab it because of the old save game load problems before. But I gotta say I love coming home and seeing a new version. Me Likey Patches!
Oh, hey, so decommissioning a square...deleting it...does that give you extra cash or recources? Does leaving the building there and upgrading create less time to build over it? No it does NOT return any BC. I
Or it could be you Updated (Possibly) to a new GakCiv version that uses a DIFFERENT save game format. I know when the Beta gets updated sometimes the save games wont load properly or hang or just plain crash. Maybe that is what is going on as well...
What is the number in parenthesis next to a colony's influence points? That's the amount by which ANOTHER race is influencing that planet. Anything 4.00 and higher is BAD. It means your planet could soon revolt and join the dark... er enemy. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile
If you are artistic and have something like Photoshop you can edit them/make new ones. They are stored in your > GalCiv2 > Gfx folder But as Oldstatesman said, you can disable it in the Options menu if you really no likey.
Oh yeah and can we get the DELETE key to bulldoze buildings/cancel builds or upgrades. I'm getting Carpel Tunnel from clicking the building, clicking X to stop the upgrade, going over and clicking bulldoze, and then back down to the Decomission button to finally clear the tile. It geats really annoying mid-late game when you are blowing through AI planets with like 50 million Embassies on them and just want to clear a planet to
Please make Select Next Available ship/fleet with moves AS AN OPTION in 1.1! So I can turn the stinking thing off Thank you and have a nice day
Because you could THEN late game MOVE it to lets say a class 26 with 3 or for Manu Bonus tiles and then have a Manu Capital there too. I Guess it's either you use it early, and hope it's the right decision or be patient and use it later to maximize potential. I mean it would kind of be like moving Detroit (Automotive Capital) to Florida because the tax breaks are better and so is the weather. Or Washington D.C.... I wish some of the projec
LOL Last night as a matter of fact. Went to upgrade all og my Large Hulled Ships to ones with better engines and weapons. So I moved one out and clicked upgrade. Checked the box to upgrade All of this Type, and hit upgrade. Woot only a week and only $19,000. Damn that rules. Next turn I send one my my new "Uber" fleets at the enemy. Pwned hardcore. Turns out I upgraded ALL of my Large Attack vessels into 33
You need to put it in the C:\GalCiv2\Data\English Folder. The Mods directory doesnt work properly yet. or whatever path you galCiv 2 is installed in. Hope that helps.
I think 1.0x still has the ability to upgrade the fleet selected. But apparently, If I remember correctly, there was an exploit associated with it. So now it's a pain in the ass At least you can still do Upgrade All ship types though. Which does save some time.
Bonus pack does contain the Collector's Edition stuff, AFAIK...
