Why does the AI build farms on class 3, 4, 5, or 6 planets? I can see ONE on a class 6 MAYBE if it was bored and has cash to blow, and needed that extra 1.86 billion people for like, I dunno, bio-weapon testing. But I have seen the AI many, many ,many ,many ,many ,many ,many ,many times build multiple farms on low class planets. Yeah great, 2 farms and a Colony on a class 3. You go boy! Ooh a class 5 with 8 tiles thanks to terra

Saved Metaverse games have the META data and their checksums saved so it KNOWS it's a Meta game. Once it's done it will ask you to submit and then Log In to submit it. That's why you cant save a Meta game and then load it later and cheat using the cheat parameter Hope that helps <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=

I would like to make influence basically non-existent in my games or at least nerf it to where it is barelly significanr, what would be the best approach? And I think influence due to population is hardcoded. You could mod Embassies in PlanetImprovements.xml to provide MORE Influence bonus. Thus the

That's an AI bug, and you should submit it as such. You're not going to be able to mod your way out of the problem without damaging the game. Well in 90% of the cases I have run into they NEED those 10 tiles of embassies to stave off the 20+ influence I am putting on them. And try buying a planet de

You can make an explicit declaration of war by speaking to a 3rd party and giving them your promise to attack whomever the target is. I use this to keep up relations with other governments, as you do get something out of it. What Alfonse means is goto the diplomacy screen. And lets say you w

Its just how much the other AI's have military wise. Since the AI now weighs the risk of a total all out -everyone-hates-me-now war, they declare it much less than before. Even if I have ZERO military, if the other civ's military are close to theirs, they rarely declare war. Especially true if you have alliances and good relations with more races. I usually only incur their wrath by swamping their planets with influence or parki

You will NOT get a culture flip if the approval (morale) is 100%. Even if the influence is like 90 times thiers. At least this is the problem I am having, and have been having. It has been brought up many times, but no devs seem to comment on it I only get culture flips when approval is 80 or so lower... Approximately. And even then it can

It would be cool to still allow the choices. If you spent 10k to go good, you would have to choose good, or if you dropped down, you LOST the money you spent and lost the ethical bonuses you received. If you wanted to go back to good or something you would have to re-pay and rebuild the tech you gained previously. I always choose ethics AFTER the co

I've noticed and am disappointed how alignment events seem to have disappeared. Even Lucky Rangers. My last game I played for 12 years and had a whopping one (1) event. The one with the plague. And one game I am in it's been five (5) game years and still no events. Now occasionally I get a econ bonus or recession, or xenophobic, but not NEAR as much as 1.0x. I miss both. But I would like an option to determ

So far with the new AI, and the econ bonus, iv'e seen more focus on research/econ and they just BUY their military. Try it using a cheat and give the AI like 1 million BC and just WATCH their military shoot up. And if you look at their planets they havent bought/built any new factories. So I guess more money = more bought ships and if you add in the greater economy and more tech focus i can see that I guess. *Shrug*

slightly unrelated, but in 1.1 do minor races appear more often than in 1.0.x? Just curious, as ive only ever seen 1 minor race in a game, but i tend to play small/medium maps with quite a few races and little free space. Any tricks to see more of them in a game? Try a larger map. Medium + gets t

Actually I always place an Tiny un-armed ship on my planets to just block transport raids. Since opeing a planet up triggers the AI into sending a crap load of them. And since 1.1 (Betas too) The AI seems to ignore any kind of military production until around 75% or so of the galaxy has been colonized. They also don't seem to build up planets until the colo phase is nearly over. Which as you know on a Huge or Gig map, that can be a while.

Before 1.1 I could (with great diplomacy) get an AI to declare war on those weaker for like 1-2k. Now it aseems due to the fact they now "weigh" the rick of having everyone gang up on them, that is it incredibly tough to get the AI (even when their military is 10-20 x's higher than the rest) to declare war. Kinda aggrivates me. It's possible but you need massive amounts of cash. Have tested this a few times using the

Is there some reason the Secret Police Center only applies a 20% approval bonus? And for that matter ONLY on the planet it is built on? I could see maybe if it was empire wide, but it's not. I mean it's the same as a starting approval building, but takes a crap load longer to build due to being a super project.

I have the opposite problem. I have like 3 or 4 sitting there with the descriptions Moderator Please Remove, and they keep approving them So I have to once a week edit them so they go back to awaiting approval
