The best game this year for me. I'm also a great fan of games like Civilization series, GalCiv2 and the Europa Universalis series. When I was younger I also played the Heroes of Might and Magic series and MoM. Fallen Enchantress reminds me of these two, but it's better. It has alot of those things I've always wished the Heroes-series would evolve into to become a deeper strategy game, but the HoMM-series stopped evolving after Heroes IV...

You can also get those unit cards up before battles on every unit you like, by choosing the unit in question, then press the unit portrait tha

Thank you and keep up the good work, please
Oh yes, I'm in love with this franchise. Wish it a long and fruitfull life with alot of support and expansions. :D

Cool, and good news. There are too few LP's out there with difficulty over challenging. Expert is a nice choice, this will be exciting. I will start following this as soon I have the time, that should be this weekend. ;) NB! The only thing I don't like is the fast setting. Hopefully normal speed and same setting otherwise in your next LP.
Hate snaking, and I'd also like another system where pioneers build the roads. Of course it would have to be limited by an upkeep cost for every tile with a road, like in Civ5. ....But when it comes to snaking it's not an issue anymore if you play auto-placement of city improvements. If some players absolutely want to play cheesy by placing them theirself to get an exploitive unfair advantage over the AI with absolutely no strategy involved, then be my gue
The player gets this as well for his own militia, but of course you'll need the tech. Only weapons gets upgraded by better techs, it never gets armor or anything else.
Me too! :D
Multiplayer would be a plus, but I wouldn't be able to use it often (long term TBS tends to be problematic to keep players involved).
I understand people are disapointed by the experience if they just join a random game hosted in the Civ5 multiplayer lobby for instance. What you have to do to play serious people that don't quit is to arrange games through the multiplayer communities own forums on Steam or other w
Deserves a better score, but atleast IGN finaly made a review. All PR are good PR! :)
+ from me for quick updates! :)
It's not silly to make game mechanisms that force you to take hard choices.
Fortress if it has essence, if not town.
...But these are all subjective. I personally believe that snaking's main benefit is dominion push, and snaking to resources is a poor third, after quick travel. It's rather strange when the first two are OK, but the third is frowned upon.
I agree that is strange too. In my opinion the developers should put an end to that kind of snaking as well.
Ya, it should keep the troops at the health they were at when attacked the first time in the turn.
I agree. They should be regenerated if not dead in the first battle that turn, and with the amount of health they have left after the first battle.
If a city is attacked 2 times the same turn the city militia wont generate for the second battle. I understood on Derreck it's not intended, so it's a bug they have either fixed or will fix. I always thought earlier that it was intended.
I like the male only henchmen. I can't stand getting too many female heroes. I actually press Ctrl-N not so often because of a bad starting point, but more often because the level 1 hero I can recruit early game is a female. This 50/50 approuch is really rather irritating. The main reason I play with the henchmen trait is that it allows me to have more male then female heroes.
NorsemanViking, every one of your arguments can be easily applied to disabling tactical combat and troop design, because there are troop types that the AI cannot handle in tactical combat. I'm sure that if I try a bit harder, I can apply it to converting Fallen Enchantress into a side-scroller with one button, as well. The latter paragraph is an exaggeration. The former is not.
Well Tuid

I think it only works in starcrap style RTS games,MMO and FPS. I agree with this. R
