I love being a founder:) Any hints on types of defensive structures that are coming in the expansion?

I love Sins enough, I am wiling to buy Right Now, the Founders Elite Edition of SoSE 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8......
Looking forward to the new defensive buildings! Since, we have lightning weapons.. hopefully we can get lightning towers like in C&C :)
Halfway through it on my Kindle. Very solid writing. Two thumbs up.
Will observer mode include watching 2 AIs duke it out? No human element. Example, in SupCom I loved watching the AI progress throughout the game. I get a lot of tips and strategies from it.
I agree with Drasik. AOTS lacks "Soul" and is overall "Plain". However, the underlying mechanics are very sound. I hope the future DLCs will flesh this out.
Thanks Frogboy for this thread. Always love seeing the thought process in game development and the outreach to the community in making AOTS better for the ages.
Loving the updates. Most of all I Love how you guys are adding more content (Maps) with each update. Any info on when future DLCs will be released?
- Need to be able to interact with control groups via mouse same way as in Sins a) one click, high lights army. b) two clicks takes player to the army. Currently, only way to bring up the army is to hit the keymapped key when forming the army, Control 1, etc. - With the mouse, need to be able to box in and highlight multiple factories. - Bug - with engineer selected, holding down metal extractor build button will spam t
For the connected line from controlled territories to home base, it would add some neat immersiveness if the line on the ground "Pulsed" from the resource node back to home region. Enhances the premise of a whole living interconnected resource system. Also, it would add some secondary visual feedback if we have a long supply chain that was suddenly cut off.
Congrats! I am glad the game AOTS is a hit with great sales. Looks like a solid foundation/franchise to continue the revenue stream with future DLCs and expansions. I talked two coworkers into buying AOTS also.
regards to tech tree and the fear of taking the player out of the gameplay too long, take a look at the style and UI formats of upgrades in Creeper Wars 3.
Also, i think the nodes needs a symbol with different levels, or a system similar to SoTSE to show what areas are weak and strong. Right now, kinda hard to see my strengths and weaknesses on the mini map. This is more of a factor on larger maps battling on multiple fronts.
I think Ashes is too much into the grey scale color scheme. Units, buildings, UI needs much more primary color differentiation (See Supcom 2) for quick interpretation of what is going on in game. Everything has a washed out grey color to it. Thoughts?
Awesome job! This is exactly what i hoped for in Ashes, lots and lots of replayability.
Great news!

I missed the Twitch TV streaming this morning, work. where can i see a replay of it?
Kane, a recommendation to you for turtle games, check out Creeper World 3. sells for a couple bucks on steam. It is all turtle.
Realistically guys, there is Zero need for max zoom out if the mini map provides adequate information on current state of the battle.
I am digging the new videos. The concept of zone control looks good. Not seeing much information on game structures. Will there be point defenses to fortify areas of control? P.S. I see you have already conquered 2 of the critical problems of previous large scale rts games. A solid game engine and ease of creating maps to enhance replayability.
Long time supcom 2 player here. I have massive hopes for Ashes and hopes it goes all the way in satisfying every ones RTS itch. One of my favorite supcom 2 mods which is a massive revamp along with alot of neat ideas i hope the developers and regular players take a look at: http://www.moddb.com/mods/revamp-mod/forum/thread/unitport-rve-addon My favorite
630 hours of gameplay logged in Supcom 2 and Sins. All of it is single player against AI or Coop against AI. CompStomps
