Nothing is going to change.... Have a good day :p

Capture the Flag-ship?
Be happy you have planet textures , on my old card.. Geforce 4600, all the planets are transparent..about 70%. The rest of the game however looks and runs just fine..which was surprising. I get horrible loading lag for a minute or two when I enter my first game, then the game runs smooth after that...good job on the scaling! It runs so well on my old system I think you can bump up those minimum specs.
Culture is an excellent way to give defensive players a way to win. I enjoyed using it in Galciv2 and Civ 3/4. In this game I'm still undecided...since there is only one method to generate culture, and 2 ways to defend against it...it might just end up being annoying. Plus those broadcasters take up valuable logistics space. :/ -Avarice-
Fleet = move at the speed of the slowest unit in the group then? That feature is in plenty of other rts games as a simple toggle for a ctrl group. I was imagining something entirely different...if I'm still wrong then forget it lol I'll find out when it's part of the game. -Avarice-
Ah ok I see now. Sounds interesting, wonder what the pros and cons are going to be with fleet vs single units. I'd assume the entire fleet will absorb the dmg, which may be considered a plus vs losing a single unit, but I like to micro my wounded units out of combat..forcing the enemy to chase or pick new targets. -Avarice-
What's the difference between putting ships in a fleet and assigning them to a group with ctrl-#? I'm confused... lol -Avarice-
I think players should have the option to hand over their colonies, ships, and structures through the diplomacy screen. Along with a checkmark/button to hand it all over at once when they know they can't win. In this way they can knock over their king when they have been defeated instead of just leaving the game, and leaving you with the AI to mop up. -Avarice-
Sadly I don't have any replay/save from that game, but I'll try and recreate it and send in the results next time I get it to happen. Right now I assume what caused it is a scenerio like this.. You have a large group made: ctrl-1 :set to jump as a group. You: shift-1 :new units to the group who are far away, then select (1) and tell the group to jump to a location. The newly added group members who are far away bug out and try to fly directly to the target d
I was playing a multiplayer game yesterday and had a very large fleet in a single group. I ordered them to all jump together at the same time between planets. Half of the fleet jumped normally, and the other half... to my suprise, just started flying to the planet at their normal rate of speed. As you can imagine this took an extremely long time for them to reach their destination. I shared intell with guys I was playing with, so they could see what was h
Yeah, single player is good for introducing the game mechanics and telling the lore which really gets you into the game. I'm glad you guys agree, lets hope the cagey devs do as well and had the time to put something decent together for us. Either way, I won't regret my purchase, I'm enjoying the game so far even in it's beta state...it's pretty unique. -Avarice-
I did a search and found one thread with comments that the game won't have a campaign in the traditional sense. I seriously hope this is just speculation and hasn't been confirmed? I would hate for this game to ship with just skirmish maps and it's multiplayer as the only selling point. Galciv 2 is an example of how not to do a campaign...if they slap a few objectives on skirmish maps and call that the singlep
Nice, Thanks for info guys , much appreciated. -Avarice-
How do you delete Units and Structures? Also, If anyone has written up any basic guides/faqs for the beta, please post a link. Thanks, -Avarice-
Yeah as far as I know it's just eye candy, if the route is active you recieve the cash each turn.
When a trade route is destroyed, the line representing the trade route will vanish. Then the trade route from your planet to planet (x) is finished. You will have to build a new freighter and reestablish the route to planet (x).
So when your transport moved onto the planet tile what happened then? You should get a pop up window asking what type of invasion you want to do, then you click invade, and get the battle animation.
I believe what the Galactic Privateer does is prevent your trade route from being canceled if it is attacked and destroyed too many times. Kalin answered your question in the very first reply to this thread... -Chris-
The serial you tried to post is your Collectors Edition serial, not the game serial anyway. If you have bought the European Collectors Edition from Paradox , you most likely are missing the proper serial number. In the download section of this site there is a https://www.galciv2.com/paradox/ to get one issued to you. If you own the US or Italian version and your serial codes aren't working read this thread. https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=109834&cmd=myposts#
The human counter to that is ....menu.....retire. -Chris-
As mentioned....avoid the Campaign and stick with sandbox (new game) mode. The campaign is just a set of challenging scenerios linked together, personally I didn't find it very fun and have been playing sandbox non stop. As for the lack of voice overs, did you listen to the horrible voice over from the lady in the opening movie clip? Be glad there isn't similar voice work during the game. <img src="http://images.stard
Good Deal Murphy, enjoy the game! Fordson, T-man helped me with my, (our?), problem with the serial issue in that other thread here: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=109834#852195 Email him if you haven't already man... -Chris-
Check the responses by T-man in my thread here: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=109834#852195
Thanks for all your help T-man! -Chris-
