I now take upon me the task of educating you about the reality of proper internet communication: <br

Speaking as a chronic migraine suffer and one whom endured the added "joy" of a brain tumor for several years and one who really does not like to take pills but often resorts to them when the pain and nausea gets to extreme "I want to kill myself" levels. In general do the following: cold pack on the forehead warm towel on the back of the neck only candle light in the room I'm in and if I'm in front of a PC, the monitor brightness is turned down

I thought the movie on its merits was outstanding and it should surely get a sequel. With that said, I really, really dont like the time travel mechanic at all. I consider it the same as the Q as far as story devices. Moreover I cant believe that Spock would be off with his timing and the comment that a star explosion threatened the destruction of the galaxy was a bit over the top. Additionally I cant believe that all the senior commanders of SF where killed as well as the entire Vulc

For what it is worth, I think the core community is sold. The conflict is likely a cause of the frustration and tension levels which are running high right now for some. Then there is the whole DOTA mentality filtering in on top of that to boot. I expect it will settle down in soon enough. It does seem to have done so already over the past two or three days.

Im starting to doubt Stardocks ability to fix this, and whether it is even fixable given the p2p design of the multiplayer. Theres only so long you can go on for being told that "were almost there" before you start to doubt what you're being told.
Generally I wo
Quoting Kierkegaard, reply 14I'd like to also echo the chorus of "Huh?" for the 50% off coupon. It doesn't really thank players for sticking with the game through its broken infancy. Rather it rewards players who held off because of reviews or word of mouth (or pirated and can now play a possibly fixed game for half the price). It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth that you've essentially used the release population

@Schlista... People acting like you only serve to validate/justify the treatment gamers get from companies like EA, ActiBlizz, Atari, Ubi and others - just stop it. Grow up and man-up. If not...

Some of us crazy people spend a lot of time trying to educate the public about the issues as well as informing the general media and special interest groups about the ill effects such things bring with them regarding customer rights. It is nice to see the efforts for the past few years have not been wasted time and resources. You can thank us 'silly' people for EA's decision not to go with a harsh and unpopular DRM sche

All I can say is that it should dramaticaly improve things for those people who are having problems. Now, let me make something bloody clear to you: It's a VIDEO GAME. Do you understand? A video game. We, the publisher of the game, have put developers on improving connectivity and been working over 70 hours a week on this since the game's release.
The makers of "intellectual property" (yawn...) deserve compensation for people enjoying the fruits of their labour. This is a societal norm established to encourage the (often costly in time/money) development of more "intellectual property" (snore...) for everybody to enjoy in the future. Since societal norms rarely enforce themselves, this is backed up in the law. Violating the law has known consequences. One of them is bein

I have to admitt some of you are good at debating but the fact still remains you can't stop piracy plain and simple, you can however take measures to make piracy less desirable than actual purchase of the game. However as it stands with DRM it is LESS desirable to actuall

For what it is worth, all things considered (if I really thought the game was something special) if I were the owner of DG I would consider a fully functional multiplayer demo with one thing locked out - no stats at all.

288 Replies 664,091 Views

Good stuff. As far as a demo goes... I really dont like it when in game features are disabled for what that is worth. What I think would be best would to limit the demo to one big map only and no solo play. Plus carry over items and what not should/would last for say 48 hours. After that the stuff and stats go poof. That way the player gets a full taste and the experience is timed. I think it is a win/win type of thing.
