Eugh :P Don't get too close!

One thing that comes to mind, apart from fixing some of the bugs already there, is to fix the constructor system, as another person said. My solution is that whenever building a constructor it goes directly to the nearest starbase with needs upgrading. The user can stop it if he wants, so he can take it wherever he wants. Or: there could be another generic rally point which points to the nearest starbase so that instead of going automatically the user chooses that mode. Thus it becomes
But there is a map editor. Twilight of Arnor has 6 editors!
No, it makes them chocolate, strawberry loving insectivores.
How about any antivirus programs? Or any sort of utilities these people have installed on their computers? Would they be able to interfere with the game, or conflict in any way so that this happens?
verkinix: Some quickie answers: For the custom ships, you can play the scenario map Battle of the Gods (or something to that effect) where all the technologies are researched and go from there. Unfortunately you can't use the ship editor outside the game... Sandbox games are just normal games you play through the New Game button. They are called like that because you set your own goals and have fun. No predetermined scenario rules. Just like a playground sandbox. The metaverse
I found Steam extremely annoying updating my games without asking. It hogged up my connection and if the patch broke saved games... well I was pissed off..
That's weird, I have Vista as well and it doesn't happen. Have you guys that have the String problem, have a Standard account and not an administrator? Or did you download and install the game without giving Stardock Central Administrator rights?
Ugh... I keep away from Norton and MacAfee.. In my opinion they are worse than viruses, taking over the machine and preventing anything from running at any kind of appreciable speed. They used to be good, but they succumbed to the overblown hype of "I can do anything" (and take down your computer with it). AVG more than does the job for me for well over a year and I hope it doesn't go that way, although its site has gone from the friendly "indie" look to megaprofessional clean, s
There's Avira as well. I've heard it's good.
Ehm, shooting in the wild: outdated drivers? Overheating graphics card? Does anything similar happen in other games? Garbled graphics?
I concur. It sounds a lot like game files corruption. That, or the Arceans are invading your computer O_0
At reply #4: This is a known bug: https://forums.galciv2.com/310692
Maybe you could add that for the Drath, if one is into spending ability points, you could invest in the Population Growth ability. Otherwise, it looks good from what I read :)
Well, my point exactly: Why put out 'new games' instead of improving the one they have. They just do it to get the money. I suppose if they were any good, or adding any content or being more original they would be worth the time and money. But if they are just minor updates and being full priced, that's just ripping off. Oh and putting out an expansion pack just to patch the game and bringing it to playable standard does not constitute and actual expansion pack :grrr: Now if it's what t
Brad said that Stardock is not for sale :) (Thank God, may I add)
I don't hate EA games, nor the actual company per se. I hate their corporate mentality that sets out to milk as much much money from the consumer, by providing subpar service, a minimum quality for a maximum of price. Now, I know it is a company, trying to make money and keep its shares up, but if it expects customer satisfaction and the "coming back for more" they should set their goals higher. No use only getting money in the short term by doing the aforementioned stuff, but they should look t
While I'm sure that most of the bugs will be fixed in the upcoming week, I'm bit weirded out that they weren't caught before release. Maybe it's because of the lack of a CD/gold version and the multitude of files running around. I put it to the fact that Stardock is overworked and needs a holiday. However, because I trust them, I'm sure they will deliver.
Yes, it feels that the only different thing they have is the War Profiteering tech for the Drath. Why would the Altarians even have Drathian temples?
Yes, you actually learn more stuff the more you play it. I, still play on the lower difficulties, to learn more of the stuff, as I don't find enough time for a lot of games :P
Do you mean like Galciv1? I don't think you can do it...
It's intentional. Destroying a colony destroys it for the enemy as well. No more nice planet.
You'll hurt your head bumping :) I'm sure they are into the problem...
I managed to get the screenshot for the Tech description problem I was talking about, this time in the Drath tech tree (is it my idea or are the two trees the same, except for war profiteering??? And why do Altarians have Drathian Temples?!)
It might have kept attacking you early on instead of accepting a peace deal.
