How about this: Lord Kona giving me the silent treatment. I think he was trying to declare war on me for trying for having one too many ascension crystals...
Achronous
Thanks for the info :)
You can do that, yes, there's even a strategy based on that. If you search the forums for "All factories strategy" you'll find it :)
Lol, because probably it thought something was wrong with the backup disk. "Little did it know" (I love that phrase) that it's external storage. Still, priceless :P
It's similar to the humans I think, and very similar to the one in Dark Avatar (if not the same), but you should give it a go as well!
Lol. Well, I hope it de-swells soon so you can have full use of your middle finger and do what you do with it ;)
Indeed, I have noticed that my game isn't as slow as Dark Avatar :CONGRAT:
Yes, ditto here. Custom Races, I can create, but custom opponents not:
Lol, of course about the war :P @Gambler: At least it will push some people to help. That doesn't sound too bad even if it's for ranking.
That's weird. Are you sure you have the full release (v1.90) and not just a beta?
I like these features: https://forums.galciv2.com/310173 :p
The launch gadget is in the install directory named TAlaunch.exe.
Oh, because I need to get it off my chest: That hull was the worst one for me: even though I liked its model, its texturing was so ugly I never used it)
It's a little difficult to do it because maps are random... So are starting positions. (by the way, where's the other thread? Or did the replies get deleted?)
That would be neat: I'd like as well :p
All I have to say is: Thank you and I love you! Twilight: left, Dark Avatar: right.
Keilworth: You can find the editors from the TA launch gadget, it's located in the Twilight install directory, and called TAlaunch (funnily enough  ) and the button for the editors is... well you don't want me to go to that much detail do you? (oh well, below the Manual button!)
@redwingdw28: Yes, it seems EA is starting the milking process. People said they were changing but I don't see it happening. Also, screenshots show it getting simpler and simpler by the month... It's sinister. I'm not getting on release. EA has lost my confidence a long time ago. I'm going to wait as much as I can, because I'm sure an expansion pack with missing feature shows up...
If you are using Vista make sure you right click on SDCentral and Run as Administrator. Also unclick Show prelease versions and make sure you are downloading v.1.90.xx. Hope it works for you :)
You need to logged in first to see it but:
With Impulse you don't need to do that. Since SDC is older it needs administrator rights in order to do its job. I've actually set mine so that normal click makes it run under admin :P saves me an extra click.
I'm not getting that high speeds, but that's probably due to my connection. It does seem faster than when I was downloading Dark Avatar. I think there's a cutoff point. If people want to pay for downloaded content, they expect a fast a download. If it takes ages to download they'll get frustrated and never do it again. They'll pick up their car and go get it. They'll have the advantage of physical medium as well. If however everything goes without a cinch, then they might not not
It'll be nice then when Impulse gets of its big beta behind, if it's that much advanced than SDC :P
Advertising for Impulse already? ;) It did have it before SDCentral when I checked, but I'm downloading it from there.
It is here. Uncheck your "Show pre-release versions", go into Tools/Settings, Internet and choose Server US1. Then "Refresh XML" Data and OK. It should be there. Version 1.90.018. That's what I got. Good luck and... ... ... WooT! :P
