After reading the new patch and the AI enhancements, I eagerly awaited the patch to download, (the latest one), however when I come to activate it, it won't. I don't know why. I copy and pasted the serial code Stardoc sent me to replace the one I got with my purchase as the european ones are wrong. However it still doesn't seem to work. Please can somebody help me. Perhaps I've just done something daft? Thank you

When I saw this thread, I thought wow, I'd never comprehended doing such complicated designs, so in my lunch hour I decided to bodge one together. It's no where near as good as you guys on here but I'll post it just for the hell of it. Bare in mind I don't have 1.1, don't know whether the editor is any better. Anyway, here's my Atarai Class Cruiser for the Altarian Republic http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ataraiclasscruiser1ja.png
Yea, I taken a picture of my ship, unfortunatly it's a very small picture, Is there anyway to make the image larger, or can I only do that in a battle? Not in the ship view or editor.
I see, lots of solutions there guys... It'll take me weeks to try all these out.. wow!!
I don't bump my posts, but then most of them never get a reply, is that unusual?
Hello, I would just like to ask a few questions, firstly, how do I take screenshots, I tried print screen and that didn't work, and I don't see any button for it. How come I can't select extra miniturization on the custom civ? Also, my most important point. I did a skirmish, and used a custom civ, the Omicron Consortium, but forgot to save the civ. I've made some really cool ships and want to be able to use them in other games, is there anyway I can selvage them? Thanks alot for any help yo
Cloaking is a nice adea, I think what worries people is it will just get silly, as the AI will always use cloaking devices. Enlight of this, they could make it take up more space, so the cloaked ship would not be as tough as the one without a cloak. But would win if it weren't seen. It could destroy the cloak detector ships before they warships were sent to open fire or something. But yea, thats my idea.
I disable all the victories so it's a much loner and more interesting game. It's also seemingly alot harder though as DeadDodo says, you get the hang of it after a few games. I like to play for ages just conrtolling the galaxy. Doesn't take me long to become top nation, and when I do it's be quite a way, but nevertheless I plod on for ages, restoring peace and prosperity to the universe . Conquest o
I'm playing on tough, I have a patch, whether thats 1.1 i'm not sure, i'll have to check. I can buy a mining station for 6000 if it's only the first level. When it's been upgraded it costs me much more. Though, beaware that I always go for the diplomatic upgrades, and went for full Demplomacy as my starting stats, and build the galactic wonders for it so I always have a massive diplomatic advantage. I think my starting Deplomacy was an 80% bonus. I try to buy the stations as early in the ga
go all out evil in the beginning, take all the nifty planetary bonuses, then research xeno ethics, and choose your alignment. I've ended up with some VERY nice economic planets that way. lol, thats exactly what I do. Unfortunatly, I only managed a 28% starship bonus this time. My big strategy is to go america style. I make sure I have the b
I've wiped the AI on tough with the Dominion of Korx, I tried it on Crippling and it was impossible. Why do they have such massive economy's even with the same or less worlds? Any advice and tips from what everybody else does would be good, to integrate into my own strategy so perhaps I can do the much higher difficulty levels.
I'm playing it on Tough, I didn't realise they get minurisation bonuses. Also, no I havn't cheated, I just happen to be the most powerful nation on the map. I know everything that goes on and I have all the resouces except for 2 military that I've given to my allies. My economy is at 56500 BC, where the runners up is 6500 BC. Thats why I can see the whole map, although I only have 43% of the colonies, I have sensor ships everywhere. My own design for massive range. This has cleared the mat
Ok, he's the stats of the Terran Alliance. 50 286 0 215 95 71 That is over powered, but this is without any benefits or abilities. I bought it just so I could see. I checked the spec (wot equip it had) and tried to match it with my own design, I run out of space way before I add all it's equipment on. I have researched everything, I even produce ships on a planet which has a 46% bonus, yet my e
Serial code works now, joy And now the game only takes a minute or two too load Fantastic game now
Just a bit of a curiosity, wondered what difficulty level people typically do. I used to do normal, because I thought it would be too hard, but I decided I'd give it a go on challenging but did that in around 5 hours, and decided to do tough which I am doing pretty well. With 41 colonies with Dominion of Korx, I am the largest empire. And the richest.
Okay, what I forgot when I bought peoples entire military, I bought all their stations too. Not just the miners. This combined with all the resources has given me huge influence. When I destroy all the resource stations, I no longer am controlling the whole galaxy and some races even have a border of their own So cool, it's not a bug, it was skill. I
So'k I perged it by deleting the save game lol, I wasn't that far anyway.
This is a great game but don't half have some bugs sometimes. For instance I just had the problem where I opened up my game with Earth (humans) and on the stats I have as the top leader, Yor colective 420 military might (the stat from my previous save with the Yor). Also when I get to Yors stats to compare, I get 66 military for Yor, where as the Yor have 420. What? Two Yor's on the game?? I don't suppose this saught of bug is going to be saughted
Actually, i've noticed the Drengins being very chummy, might take him golfing I suppose. We made an alliance there and then...
Please check your influence ability in the Civ Manager "Stats and Graphs" screen. It is likely you have bought one or more influence resource starbases. These increase your influence ability. I'm not sure what size map you are on, but on smaller maps, you may have enough influence to cover most if not all of the map - it is poss
I was quite suprised to see that the Dominion of Korx had turned good and gone ethical to all other civilisations striving for peace. I always thought they were far more trustworthy than the other races and were always very easy to make good friendship with. (military 4 times size with economy 10 times richer). Yes they always were very nice lol. No thats just a joke. But yeah, I don't think the're evil at all, it's just the stick they were hande
These are supposed to be the good race, but they are always the ones that keep picking on other nations and are turly brutal. I personnally find that the Dominion of Korx are a very trustworthy race, probably the most so. The Alterian Republic also go iradicating all the minor races for easy kills. Not to mention, they seem to have a grudge on me however much I am nice to them and go after my head <img src="smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle
This been my civ since I first bought Galactic Civilisations one. I have an income of 74,000 BC, with a military exspense of 11,000 BC. Remind you of any one lol (United States). I like to have a really long game to just mess about in my civilisation, I also like to leave other races in the game so support them economically with funding. I also havn't taken all the territory. I would say I have about 70% of the total map however. I also have load
Okay, I'm playing the Dark Yor on Challenging. I've been the major power for a while now and I bought every other nations fleet of them entirely so I didn't have to bother the long slog of building my own. Except for the ships I already have. Anyhoo, thats like, abit off topic. Basically, I have a huge problem which I think is a big bug. I bought all the resource stations on the game from all the other empires. Dunno whether this is relevant but
For instance, there's a Dreadnought from the Domion of Korx, no where near full tech, but has like 197 Mass, and 157 of all defences or something. I quickly got concerned and bought their entire fleet of them. I didn't realise those starship bonuses only happen on certain planets. That could be why they are so strong. Is there anyway to find out which planets had the bonuses to starships? Oh my top ship has like 66 Attack Beam, 44 Armor
