it's hard to remember where every system is located and it becomes a pain to have to search around the map for where, say, Wardell III is located. (If there's already a way to do this, I'd love to know it!) On the planet/ship window just click once on a ship or planet. -Wade

Lintman.Um... the Colony Management Screen is the "Planet Screen". You must be referring to that other screen that lists the values for all your planets. -Wade
For Stardock...a little off the main topic. When I use my favorites button to come to this website the Recent Posts and the Poll is not updated. Meaning that I must click something, usually "Everything", for them to update. This is minor except that it appears that I could vote again, over and over. I have not tried it but could the voting be cheated like this? -Wade Edit: Now I've noticed that it does not allow another vote always.
Don't double click on the planet in the list. Click once on the ship or building being built in the list. Or did you know this and I didn't quite understand? -Wade
Actually, upon further inspection I have noticed the "Ships in Orbit" window in the Starport when you click on "build ship". How ever it stiil needs to have the minimap showing. Perhaps have the entire user interface panel showing. -Wade
Ok i keep building planets that loose money... Where does the money come from?! You must wait for the population to grow to get the tax money. Population equals money. This also slows down the "colony rush" phase. You must balance that with your funds. 100% approval on a planet makes it grow twice as fast. Balance the sli
When GNN comes up each turn and I go to a planet to decide what to build I need a quik glance to see what's in orbit to decide if the planet needs more defense. Also, perhaps the minimap could show through so that I could easily know the location of the planet for strategic ship building planning. The build que can go where the bonuses window is.The bonuses window can be included in the building description window. The available items list window can be shortened a little. Thi
The times of saying, "That can't be done." are over. Wow!
Yes, it's called an alliance wade. Well look it's Marcathonas again...being disagreeable. In many games they are distinguishable...such as: Open Borders Pact, Defensive Pact / Mutual Protection Pact, and Alliance. -Wade
Although the game is appears to be designed to look some what cartoonish that is just the one culture created for the demonstration. Plus I'm sure other designers can take this game as an example and do their own thing for a new game. main site Link Wikipedia site Link But mostly, see these video clips!: <a href="http://video.google.com/video
A Mutual Protection Pact like Civilization 4 would be good to. -Wade
Dyson Rings are Inferoir Niven Rings are Superior Huh?...It's Dyson "Sphere". Larry Niven came up with the idea of the Ringworld as an intermediary step between planets and Dyson Spheres. -Wade
Well, here's my Dyson Sphere post: Link -Wade
Tell me one case in history where killing huge numbers of people had a "creative" counterpoint. Thats not the counterpoint I trying to get at. I already stated :" Nuclear fission: abundant electricity...nuclear destruction" I don't feel like getting into a debate . I'm going to play the game now. -Wade
Terror Stars make stars go supernova. Some where at this site I read that The Terror Stars in the expansion will be altered to destroy only planets, not a star. I just think that for every major destructive technology there should be an equivilant creative technology. Examples: Fire (a discovery, not a technology):
What you're talking of, blasting the planet with weapons, is different. Besides, it would add pretty much nothing to the game. I not trying to be mean spirited. I didn't want to compare to another game but...I liked in Master of Orion 2 how you could destroy a planet and it would become an asteroid belt. You could then use the belt
You're joking right? A planet doesn't make an asteroid belt. The Oort cloud is much more massive than the solar system. A planet would implode and make debris or vapourise, but not an asteroid belt. Anyway, terror stars are in the expansion already. Do some research. Our asteroid belt is between Mars and Saturn. Scientists speculate that it was

Well, here's my Dyson Sphere and Ringworld thread... Link -Wade
What just happened to the 51 comments? Were they deleted by Stardock? -Wade

remember reading somewhere that the AI in GC2 is multithreaded, when you're making your moves during your turn, it's calculating it's turn as well... Yes. So that The end turn procces does not take a long time. But the AI "thinks" each time you move a ship , for example, but not if you let the game "sit" all night...I believe. -Wade
Have you noticed any others? -Wade
Evil = Targeting civillians for terror purposes (busses, cafes, buildings) Good = Targeting combatants for stopping terror (yes, it includes buildings such as factories) -Wade
is G. W. Bush evil? i say yes for the same reasons. he stoped talking and started shooting So was Theodore Roosevelt evil for declaring war on the Japonese and then sending troops to fight Germany and Italy? Yes, I know of the Axis powers. The war on terror is actually a war on "Islamo Facism" as termed by AM radio show host, Michael Sav
