Well, to be clear, I'm hardly a new player, hence my frustration. (So, the AI cheats in this version? What ever happened to Stardock's pride in having AI that was smart and didn't need to cheat? I thought their whole reason for going 64 bit this time was to make it even smarter.) I think that the bottom line from what I'm reading above is that instead of an open game where you can play the leader you want to play, it&#3

I really don't know what happened to me. I played hundreds and hundred of hours of GalCiv2 and it became one of my favorite games ever. Then Elemental came out, and I never figured it out. Oh well - not every game works for everyone. Now this game has been out more than a year, and I've successfully won one game. One. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Even on the easiest level, no matter what I do, every other civ gangs up on me, declar

LOL....okay, well....at least I'm not the only one. The GalCiv III news made me decide to dust this one off and give it one last try to see why everyone says FE:LH is so great. Put a bunch of hours in before the update, now the save game is unplayable, just like Stridefar 's and OP's. I, also, have never managed to finish a game - from the Alpha of WoM thorugh FE:LH. Wow, that was some ugly formatting on that page [e digicons][/e] At least it had a bunch of good content. I especially liked what was said about 64-bit. We really should move to that as a community, because 32-bit is only holding us back at this point. Kudos to Brad for saying to hell with it and just doing it already. EDIT: And I'd also like to point out to Brad that some of us almost always play as evil [e

Meh...played it a bit but quickly lost interest. No substance to the story, loot is largely inconsequential, and the only way to make your character look different (one of the cornerstones of dungeon-crawler genre games) is to pay for it.
