Here is the 1st debug I sent into Stardock, it says nothing about random events... The only reason I thought maybe it is related was because of what the earlier poster said & the fact 1 of my debugs ended with a random event (I think I agree with you, it is probably not related) Below is my debug file, pl

Actually "unplayable" is true if you want to finish a game. (I guess to a Lawyer, because I played part of a game, it is techincally playable to that point) I have started over 20 TotA Games, and never finished one due to the Error message and the Game shutting down to Desk Top or Freezing the Computer causing a reboot. I have numerously tried to start back up using the autosave and my own saves, only to be knocked out again. I appreicate your defense of th

Never heard back from the Devs or Stardock or anybody... I even wrote another e-mail (RE: [#QMR-667890]: Twlight crashes in middle of game). Requesting help.... Guess they got the $39.00, and I got an unplayable game. (or they know it's unplayable, and decided there is nothing they can do, so they just stay quiet until I quit asking for help) <span style="

Thanks for the info... I'll just stay with 1.8d. If it crashes while creating a game, I'll create another, at least the game (once started) will work right. Hopefully I'll see a post when it is safe to go back to Stardock for the latest upgrade. I am sure when they are done focusing on the new game they'll come back and fix this one. DF1

I have not updated to 1.80e. According to my main screen I am at v1.80d. Am I safe? no movement bug? Besides the bug, am I missing something important by not having 1.80e installed? DF1

2 questions, both regarding Econ Starbases: I build a star base chain between my planets and my trading partner planet. 1. I build my next base just on the edge (but inside) the sphere of influence of the previous base. In other word each star base is in the radius of the other. Am I wasting starbases? Should I just make the edges sphere of influence touch, rather than capture the last base? 2. If the 2 planets are outside the sphere of influence of the star base

Does DA have a windows mode? If so, how do you make an icon? I did a search on Windows Mode, but could only find refs to Dread Lords (which does not work for both, the old DL Icon has a switch tab now, but the old DL windows mode doesn't). Thanks, DF1

I just purchased DA to D/L (ya, I have all the numbers). The only thing I get is an e-mail that links to 10 megs worth of Star Dock Central set-up file. I already have SDC and don't want it again (cause this new link wants to install another version in a new directory (and I don't even want the 1st version, but can't have the game without it, but I'll be damned if I install 2 versions). I have written to Star Dock Support but figured I try you guys. Where can I D/L th

I would like a copy of the spreadsheet. I have struggled with the "what does this do?" or " can't believe I wasted that many turns to get this". I read the conversation post (ruler & scientist), there were many games (after fruitless research), I'd have jetisoned my scientists into deep space. Didn't much matter, they burned with the rest of my planets by game end. DF1

After the release of DA there was a clamor of problems (and kudos) with the new expansion. It seemed like the Forum was hit hard with "Debugs.err" files among other complaints. Have the problems been worked out? While I don't remember the details, there were afew, that most agreed, were true issues with game play (and options). I am totally happy with DL and don't feel it needs more... (I don't play the campaigns nor design ships) The cost of the game is meaning le

Kryo, thanks for the help. You solved my problem(s). I changed the game res to match my LCD and even started a game (played till I went broke). You have just sold another copy of DA, not because it is a great game (won't know that till I play). but because of the quick (and accurate) help I got from you. Thanks again, DF1

BTW, of course you were correct... I switched the res to 1280 X 960 and the buttons worked. Unfortuately I had to have my son find the GC Icon for me to click, jk, but things were pretty small. DF1

hmmm, this poses an interesting situation... Since I don't mess with the settings, I assume my LCD is running in it's "natural resolution", but the bottom line is: (Need your opinion), Should I change the LCD to match GCII or Change GC II to match my LCD's Res. I want all my programs to work. Perhaps I am not using Monitor/video card to optimum settings? (don't want to icon too small, I'm not a spring chicken anymore). Which would you choose? DF1

OK, That worked (must have been the widescreen I bought) BUT... I get to the title screen and none of the Gray buttons on the right side work (it is like the mouse is disabled). 1 Debug coming up (from the launch I just made)...
