Thinking about it more... I sort of like the idea of adding a "Idol" tab to the store. All items that give bonuses to minions/summoned creatures could go into that tab. It would help new players and old players alike. Just like Armor = HP/Armor buffs. Helmets = mana/mana per second buffs. Then you could change the current idols to give stat bonus (passive bonus) and a use function that summons creatures. Also while on the subject, I have to agree with
One thing I've heard complained about but not brought up is creeps. I haven't played, so disregard me if I'm wrong but from what I gather creeps are just fluff and fodder compared to Demigods, in other words a none-concern regardless of who you play. I'd much rather they be very important. To the tune that lower level heroes have a hard time going at them alone. This, in my humble opinion, adds depth. In HOSK, building a hero to

Hum. I sort of agree with your #1 point at least from a power level aspect they should both be compairable. I'm assuming the orgional design was that Assassians are just a single powerful character while Generals are a slightly less powerfull character but also have minions that they control? Why do you want to pull them closer? Assasians I think are easier for most people to play (less things to control) and keeps the game more accessable (like Diablo). Is

In Beta you could only play online, single player was not availiable. The orgional favour was won via computer stomps. I then played a skirmish (can't recall if I had won that or not). Then played a Pantheon game (and lost). Anyway just wondering how it's suppose to work as I'm still not sure. -How much to you gain for each battle? -Does it matter if it's AI or live opponnets? -Can you lose favor? If you can, when/how? Lots of issues design wise (Doing a 3 player free for all, or having more than 2 sides). Where do the minions/creeps move? Which citadel do they attack? The game as it is designed right now, is very much a *Us* Vs *Them*. Personally the main thing I'd like to see is more Demigods followed closley by more maps . -Jara

Okay from the beta, it seemed like the more I played the more Favour points I gained (which could then be spent on favour items). I then played a Pantheon game and lost. When I went back to playing against the computer I believe I had negative favour . Is that a bug? Is that how it's suppose to work? Is that how it's going to work on the retail copy? -Jara

Hum this is a good question. I'd like the sound track and was thinking about playing the extra $10 for that (yes you get a little bit more than just that, but that's all I'm really intrested in). But... I don't really need/want a retail box and I want to be able to download and play ASAP, hence was thinking of just screwing it and getting the digital. Is it true that if you pre-order the CE, you can also download it digitally? If so that
Lord Erbus (The Vampire Lord) Erbus was a significant challenge because, as most beta testers concluded, he was by far the weakest of the Demigods. As a result, Mike’s team spent a great deal of time over the past few weeks re-imagining him. Erebus now moves as fast as the Unclean Beast, has better survivability and deals more damage in melee. Bite is more effective as is Mass Charm against creeps. Mist drains more mana, but deals more dam

Many of his abilitys are changing(just costs and the like), as well as his minions doing more damage and him getting more powerful or something i Htink.
Where is this log? I'd love to look it over. Typically I've been going out to fight naked (avoid head ons with other demigods) and take mist form. As soon a

I just got in the beta but it has me hooked and was playing all weekend. So far I'm really digging Lord Erebus (at first he felt under powered, but as you learn how to use his abilities (mist) you slowly begin to get how to play him). While I do think he is currently too relient on mist (would be nice if he had some other build options) but currently the most optimal seem to be mist + increasing minions. Anyway for the Lord Erebus players out there, what gear do you go
Shields already block all three types of weapons, as do armour and PD. You might want to search the forums for 'off-type defence'.Basically, every type of defence counts as its square root of defence against other attack types.
Hum, if this is true, than it might be less of a change and more of a UI factor of making sure users know/see that.

One of the things that has always bugged me about this series is how weapons and defenses are balanced. I hate how cookie cutter it is. To me it feels a bit unrealstic. I would really like to see weapons that do multiple types of damage. Shields that block all 3 types, 1 primary (higher protection) and 2 or 1 secondary that it still provides a small amount of prodection. Anyway maybe it's just me... but that's something I'd like to see more of. Like reachin

Well I was not included in the poll. I think if you're planning on doing multiple expansions, why not do: Expansion #1: Single player features. Expansion #2: Lots of cool art/ etc features Expansion #3: Multiplayer That way the people who really want multiplayer will get it. The people who don't will skip out on that expansion. Because you have _other_ expansions, the single player folks don't miss out on anything. (As I personally don't think it sho

When saving a ship design, you should have the option of saving it to a library which is associated with only the current game and which is not loaded with any other save game, or to the global library which persists between saved games. Whichever library you save to should be specific to the ship tileset you are using for that game. So if I am using the Yor shi

As for the functional modules disapearing, in the Option under Interface, the last check box says something like "Keep functional modukes when upgrading ships". Took me a while to find that one too! I don't have a problem with the functional modules going away (I like that) it's that the non-fuctional modules of a "Stardoc" pre-made ship

I personally like the feature and would want to keep it on, as it helps remind me to move ships etc. Of course it can be slightly annoying. Having a key/button that takes you back to your last previous location would be the bomb! -Jara

One of the problems I'm running into is managing saved/player created ships. I'll be playing a game using X race, say humans for example. Throughout that game I'll create many ships at different stages depending on technology available and what's happening (Based on who/what my opponents are doing). Now that game is finished. I start a new game with a new race and a new ship type (new graphic type). When I go to create a new ship, I’ll run into the following problems
