My list of things I'd like to see: Group Join (Pre-game form a team up to get matched Vs another team). Skill based matching system that supports team Vs team, I.E. TrueSkill. UI that supports inspecting/viewing enemy and ally demigod gear they have equipped! Optional UI that shows every demigod on your team and their current status (I.E. current Health, debuffs etc). The ability use said UI to actually target t
One really obvious thing: Persistent lobbies for custom games. Why, oh why do we get kicked back to the Main Menu after playing one custom game? What if the same group of people want to play again (I say REMATCH!)? And while on that, why not add the option to instantly send friend requests from the lobby? When you click someone, you only have the ability to send a private mesage. Add "Send Friend Request" or some such.
Random Demigod Yes please! Option to Concede Fine but I really hope they don't gain any favor if they Concede. I hope there is an option in custom games to be able to either have an AI take over or for them to just vanish. Hope things are done to encourage players to stay!!! (maybe that's the increase to favor x10?) Not everyone is going to be able to accuratly know
@ DalzK Oops, my bad. For some reason I thought it worked on Demigod's as well, DOH. Well in that case for generals it can help protect there minons from effects, but yes that makes this item pretty much worthless. Well damn, guess you learn something new every day!
I don't like being forced to take Symbol of purity, yes it is a valid counter but imo you should not be forced to take any one favor item. Not everyone plays with favor items. Also, good UB will know about your counters. Example: If I'm playing Erebus and fighting UB, he'll spit on me. While I can Mist form to remove the spit by the time I come out he can often spit on me again. Mist form has a fai
I agree, I either think the range on spit needs to be reduced, or the damage. Or we need more counters.
Everyone has access to Restorative Scroll , I'd suggest buying some for $250. http://www.scarylogic.com/demigod/items.php As X
Ultimately you're talking about a very short amount of time. As dragonfang88 points out soon most will have all the items they need. Seeing how each of us can only take one item all anyone really needs to be compitive is 1-5 or so good favor items. The rest is just gravey/more options. The persistance factor gives you a goal/want/need to keep playing beyond the sake of just for the game itself; something I enjoy. @HorseRadish, that sounds lik
It would be really REALLY nice if while you are dead you could look at shops and sort of plan what you might want to purchase. IMO this would help new players a great deal. Looking at the shop while you're alive and not at physically at the shop, while initially sounds like a good idea for new players it might also be confusing... What's to stop you from wanting to try to purchase something? How do you know when you're really at the shop Vs just looking?
Search seems borked right now, so I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I think we should have the ability to buy and use consumable favor items so we have a use for all those extra favor points we will be earning once we've purchased all the items we want to use. I wouldn't mind a second favor slot for these items, as long as they too are limited to one per game. Because of the nature of these items I think it would be cool if they were all extr
I don't think this idea is as bad as people are saying it is. On weekdays, I only have about an hour of free time for games. Having a game scheduled instead of having to wait for a game would be an advantage. Also keep in mind that the "resources" that would be put on this (stardock) would probably be different than the reseourses use to add features to the game (GPG).
Assuming demigod hits critical m
@HorseRadish I was in the beta but only towards the very very end. So I missed that argument.
GENERALS SHOULDn"T BE ALLOWED TO RESELL THEM! IF YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING A LVL 1 PRIEST EARLY GAME, YOU SHOULD BE SCREWED!
This is the worst idea I've ever heard. If it's an exploit/bug that they don't want players doing, then: If you sell an Idol, any minions summoned from it should be un-summoned . Fixed, no longer an exploit.
It's really nice to see some creative activity but... doesn't "Custom matches" already fulfill this purpose?
No it does not already fulfill that purpose. Custom games do not match you up with opponents, so you're left waiting for someone to join your game which is inefficient. Custom games do not match you based on skill -- it's just who ever happens to join your game.
I have to agree with many of the other posters and have to ask the design team, why? Why impliment this feature? Who is your target audience for this feature? What percentage of users do you think will use this? As I've mentioned in previous posts, I think other match making features allowing a team to be formed up prior and a system similar to Microsoft's True Skill to match up your team with another team of equal skill (and good connection) has a greater desiger/
You're missing the point. The nerf may not even necessarily be because Erebus is overpowered in cross demigod matchups, but that he is not internally balanced. EVERY build includes Bite. This is a problem. This is not balanced. Thus, you must buff everything else, or nerf Bite. Since they're most likely worried about the cross balance if they buffed everything else, they nerfed Bite. Whe

Well even so let's see if this actually get's answered. I think it has become clear that the vast majority of people (people are unclear from both sides of the fence apparently) are wondering/guessing just how GPG/SD decided to nerf bite? I ask b
(FYI, to do replays the right way is actually a very complex issue as the right way includes being able to always view a replay even if the game has been patched and you want to view an older replay).
Also i think that Demigod needs to have a replay system, so you can view matches from every player's view, fast farward, see what items players got, etc. This imo needs to be done before the Clan Wars thing. Every competitive game out there has a replay system...Auto-matching too. Not to mention needed UI tweaks, more informative ability and units descriptions (type of dmg, how much dmg -> for example rook's towers), etc....Oh boy, there is m
Well Jara, interesting Analysis, but actually uberShade in reply #16 brings up an excellent point. Custom Games are essentially team lobbies. Especially now that single players should be able to get into skirmish and Pantheon more reliably, the only reason to go to custom games is to play a team game. Which means all your team has to do is look in the custom games list to find another team that wants
In late Summer, we plan to release Demigod: Clan Wars. So how will it work? Besides the obvious – creating and joining of clans, the practical meat of Clan Wars is ability to schedule matches. Right now, everything is in real-time. The functionality that Clan Wars will bring in is the ability to schedule matches at specific times and then join in with your friends into that battle at that time. As it starts to come together, w
Can you add something like "Pantheon: Teams" as well, where you can make a team from your friends list and join as team.
Yes, currently in my previous Post (#8) I'm making the assumption that: Clan = Guild, permanent team -- Arena teams for WoW come to mind. Basicly you form up a group/perm team/guild and then invite friends to join said permanent organization. </li
Quoting Jaradakar, reply 8Clans are nice and all, but really the lack of being able to form a premade team should come first. They're coming at the same time. The clan framework contains the functionality for arranged teams. Frogboy has already stated this.
But doing so I suspect will make it take longer and that is my point. If separated, I suspect we could get team lobbies sooner. Which, imo is more im
hum... Less interested in this... Would rather see being able to form a team up and then play with said team Vs random opponents (preferably other teams that have formed up). The difference? Less work and really it's the baby step that should be taken before any Clan features. Clans are nice and all, but really the lack of being able to form a premade team should come first. I'm less interested in joining a guild/cl
For the Demo: I'd say make it so they can't pick there name, each game it is random something like "Demo1234" etc. People like to have identity and having lame names always will help encourage a purchase. I'm a bit worried about no single player, not everyone likes to jump into the deep end. As time goes on you'll get better and better players, a demo player being forced to play a Vet will be a killing and as in all g
