I vote 2. GRM is the only mod I've been running.

Gauntlet, Thanks for the offer, I haven't had much time to work on the issue. However it looks like the latest patch fixed the issue. I'm going to blame it on the anti-virus issue.
Yip, enable mods is on. I did a clean reinstall and got rid to the GC3 not Crusade directory (it no longer exists). The races load (although just 18) and everything just fine except for the ship styles, they all default to generic. I probably mixed up copying the folders, but I just can't figure it out. Arrrgh.
Okay, I've managed to get something backwards and can't figure it out (probably way too simple). Everytime I start the game i get "The faction ----- is incompatible for the following reasons and will be using the generic values. +unknown ship style" Any idea what files I got in the wrong place? Thanks,
Interesting to find the Kaufman Retrograde brought up here. The reason the retrograde works in space games and not so much in "real world" is that, to borrow somebody's quote "Space is big! Really, really BIG!" A defending fleet can give up a lot of territory flying in reverse lobbing ordinance at the attacking fleet. Real world armies can't afford to give up a lot of territory.
YAY!!! Time to start playing GCIII again!
So far I haven't been overly impressed with The Orville, however I remember how a lot of poor episodes the first season of ST:TNG had. I think this has potential to succeed, however it will probably take all season to get all the background stories and characters fleshed out. We just need to hope that the jokes get better.
Unfortunately I haven't had time to get any game time for the last couple of weeks. I hope to be able to free up some time by next weekend. Really looking forward to it, all the modifications really sound good.
That's a common issue if mods are not enabled. I have a tendency to get the "games" and "my games" directories switched. Also make sure that when copying the folders that they don't get tucked into a sub folder. Don't ask how I know these things. [e digicons]>_>[/e]
No worries, I have a bad habit of switching the folders between "games" and "my games".
YAY!!! Now all that is needed is Cybermen, because "They die better" (at least according to the Daleks). [e digicons]:D[/e] Now to download and get it installed. As for my previous issues, I think I got the "my games" folder switched with the "games" folder. I just haven't had a chance to clean it up and try again.
That may have been what happened. I just haven't had the time to reinstall your mod, and try it out. Not enough hours in the day, but too many days before the next paycheck. [e digicons][/e]
It is weird. Double checked "enable mods" is checked. Also moved the faction files individually. No change. I'm going to try re-downloading again, my internet has been a bit spotty lately, maybe something got garbled.
Okay, I'm a bit stumped. I have the mod installed and am only getting two of the Zrentak (Zorastor and Tiamat), none of the other factions are appearing. I can create a custom race using their shipsets though. Any idea what I did wrong? Thanks.
YAY!!! Thanks Gauntlet!
I remember seeing a post from Frogboy that founders would get early access.
I think Gal. Civ. III would be a better starting point than Sins. It allows more major races and the map movement is similar. Getting around the IP issues could still be problematic. How I understand it ADB's (TFG died in the 90's) hold on their TOS license was precarious around the turn of the century, so they felt the need to defend it aggressively. Not to sure what their stance is now. I know they still aggressively pursue people uploa
Just fill the case up with old pin-ball parts and call it good. :)
Malevolent because in the traditional good/neutral/evil ideologies they have the main "evil" characteristic (no value on fellow sentient species). From their perspective they probably see themselves as pragmatic, simply they do not acknowledge good/evil.
Ash, I had a CTD with Gauntlets Race Mod back in October. Looks like a hot fix to 1.83 was the solution. Hope it helps. <a id="ctl00_ctl00__Content__Content__RepeaterFullPosts_ctl01__PostTitle" title="Is there anyway to add Horemvore&#
I had a chance to try again and it seems to be working fine. Might be the hotfix from 10-31 fixed something. I'll start a tally of the mercenary ships that are available and see if it stays stable after several starts. Thanks!
I'm not sure how to tell which mercenary is causing the issue. The mod worked fine with the first 1.83 BETA, but after the second I didn't have any luck opening the Bazaar. The game would crash to desktop. Any way to determine what ships are in the Bazaar outside the game?
I've been getting crashes with GRM whenever I open up the Mercenary Bazaar. I figured one of his mercenary ships is incompatible with 1.83.
CB, Glad to hear you are out of the hospital. Hope everything heals up fast.
1. Having multiple generations is fine with me. 2. I play most of the game zoomed out so all that is displayed are ship icons. So I wouldn't go through the effort to remove floating pieces, just to remove them. Overall I'm really enjoying this Mod!! Thanks for all the hard work.
