Gauntlet Just tired the latest BETA with GRM and got this error: C:\Users\----\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods\GSM\Game\GalCiv3GlobalDefs.xml(1251,19): error: element 'InfluenceVictoryProgressInfluenceDeadZone' is not allowed for content model '(MaxNumTurns,CreditsAndPowerCap,DefaultTileMoveCost,MinTileMoveCost,ExploreTileRandomRange,MinManufacturingSlider,StartImprovementLevel, StarbaseModuleSalvageMultiplier,ShipyardMaxSponsorCount,ShipyardSalv

Just got 1.6 installed and it crashes to desktop whenever I start a new game with GRM. No problems when running without the mod. I haven't had much chance to try to figure out the issue. I've tried starting a new game with a custom race using one of your shipsets (Republic of ... aka the Narn). Tried a new game with the mod running, using the base (GC3) races, and no minor races. This still resulted in a crash to desktop during the startu

I'm having a similar problem. When I opt in for 1.5 Steam starts installing and near the end gives a "disk read error" and after verifying local files it comes up "9 files failed to validate". Opting out of 1.5 and everything is fine.

I noticed whenever I started a game (2.0 of the mod) with the Menzari Communes the game will crash to desktop right after starting a new game. Looking in the game directory for the startup I noticed both the "MN" and "LE" ships are have "Beam" in their file name where all the others have "Survey". Is this correct or the cause of the crash? Thanks,

I've got the same issue. It's more of a lockup/not responding than a crash, so I have to go into Task Manager and end the program. From what I can tell it only happens when attacking or being attacked by units in the Scarred/Diseased wild land. The other wild lands seem to work fine. It happens whenever a wild land unit attacks or is attacked, and auto resolve or manual resolution is selected. Fortunately the monsters h

I just got the alpha installed and everything looks good until the game starts. Nothing appears on the main map (it's just blank) if I move the mouse around the map the status window will appear but nothing else. I double checked my video drivers and everything is up to date. I also tried setting all the video settings to minimum without any luck. I'm running an ATI Radeon HD 3300 (not the best) and Win 7 64 bit, Any ideas? </

While tactical battles are fun, when you have multiple battles going on in a turn and they all play out the same way it gets a bit tedious. Not to mention if you are in multi-player and you have to wait for someone to finish up 4 tactical battles that take 5+ minutes each, it'll get tedious for everyone. While I like GCII, I also felt the hands off tactical battles were a let down (and I very seldom bothered to watch the battles). I'd like to give general orders to

I'd like to see some general tactical choices in combat, but not micromanaged. One game I remember that came fairly close in the balancing tactical combat with strategic play was Birth of the Federation. You gave general commands to your fleet and then the "turn was executed" and you gave another order. This keeps the time it takes to play a tactical battle down and it gives you something worth watching the battle play out. With GalCiv2 I would just skip over the t
