Why take a minotaur and limit him to the throne? I had expected an up close and personal assassin from a minotaur demigod. He could have been something like the Light side's Unclean Beast.
I think that generally speaking, most of us agree that the QoT could use a buff. I know alot of you are MUCH better than I am at suggesting specific buffs for balancing, etc. I'd like to use this thread to provide a logical, well thought out argument for QoT getting a buff. Then, I hope to compile all of the information in the hope that we can get someone at SD or GPG to buy in to the changes so we can see some improvements. <br

Can be used on structures. Good minion farm. 0.8 sec cast time. Predictable and made at TB's position. UB's Spit - 1500 dot dmg over 10 secs. 1500 dmg guaranteed! unless, theres a sedna or oak or symbol of purity to remove it. Can be used on structures. Not good minion farm (but ooze

In a 1v1 duel of equal levle and equal money the rook nearly always wins cause of his advanced strength and powerful slam. And it is a really good build to use if you know your fighting minion heavy armies. Minion build neutralize tower disturbing well if played correctly and since this build focuses on slam it's actually fairs better as with a single slam you can often t

It's due to your own skillsbeing weak. My build will easily outlevel any Regulus as I drive him back to his tower and I'll have flag control. Beast is harder but not impossible. If you really think it can't be done it shows your own lack of skill rather than any limitations in the
I have to echo the other posters on getting Tower I first. When the game first begins, the hammer rook will be forced out of the lane quickly without towers. UB spits and leaves, EB bites for health back, Reg/TB snipe from distance, etc. Even with shoulder weapon at level 2 most DGs can put damage into the Rook and then back off out of hammer range - and God forbid you get 2 enemy DG in your lane. With towers, you can keep a

But as you get to midgame you are going to get killed without Hammer Slam. Whether you are in a tower farm or not, when you face multiple human opponents you will die in 5 seconds or so. You're only real defence is to keep enemies afraid of getting 2-shotted by your Boulder Roll and Hammer Slam combo. Hammer Slam isn't easy to use so y
I've only played like 1/2 dozen games in the demo and a dozen in full version (as Rook), but I don't think hammer slam is worth it. You do plenty good auto attack damage (especially with God Strength), and towers are much more of a pain for opponents than the Hammer.
I think a lot of good discussions have emerged here. Some people tend to think that it's a bonus for killing, but the matter is that it takes a second of so for the drop to appear. In most fights, waiting around for that time just go grab the potion can get you killed, and at the same time, it gives ranged DG time to close in. So the idea that it is a reward for melee DG is just not valid, and it is not necesarily a bonus for a kill since everyone

I was playing an Oak, and the ability to prevent any hammer slamming with my interrupt made the Rook easy prey. The build certainly has its advantages, but I would think that you have to be careful with your matchups. If you are going against DGs that have spammable inte

Over all not a bad guide, but I would seriously suggest trying the rank 2 tower then merge into a slam build. I find it mu
Towers suck. The Rook can become an unstoppable lumbering juggernaut. You can crush enemy demigods in two mighty blows, send creeps flying, and steamroll your way to the enemy fortress. But if you want to become a mobile platform of death you have to start by skipping Power of the Tower. Yup, I've found The Rook to be a very effective demigod when I'm ignoring Power of the Tower completely. Towers certainly have their place and make for great defence. But I've found that you n

These items cause serious problems when equipped at the same time. The combination will permanently REMOVE 200 Health from all active minions. This is easily reproducable. Simply have any summoned minions and a Hauberk of Life. Purchase a Sigil of Vitality. Not only will you NOT get 100 extra Health on your minions, but their health will actually DECREASE by 100 immediately. If you drop or use the Sigil, you won't get that Health back either. Bottom line: you need to have at least semi constant harassment on all enemy DGs.
My suggest is a change of the killing gold alltogether. Each DG has a gold pot that fills slowly over time. If he dies the killer and assisting DGs get the gold, and the pot is reset. This would solve the AI farming and the farming of weak DGs, and also the focus on strong DG (whose pot is still full). The pot also should have an upper limit. Not that you get like 10k if you kill one DG after like 20 mins of gameplay.
<
