The UI for shipyards now has mechanisms to move ships in the queue up or down the list, to update a ship in the list to the latest version, and even repeat stuff. However, I tried to update multiple ships in the queue at once and I found that I could not do that. It has to be one at a time.
I noticed the same thing. I thought I saw the ability to select multiple ships to repeat in one of the recent Twitch streams, but I guess it didn't make it

Turn 197 with 184 colonies. 3 crashes to desktop in last 20 turns (trouble ticket submitted), but only 3. Had to reduce graphics to Low after first crash. Performance is lagging ("jumpy" movement on main screen). Game is now using 6.7 GB of RAM according to Task Manager. I still have 5.6 GB RAM available on my machine. <span style="font-fam
Well, my new duties at work are really eating up my time and leaving too little time for gaming, so I'm a little late on providing feedback. Sorry. First, there is a problem with the support site. I tried twice to submit a trouble tic
It contains custom parts I saved in Beta 2 (design is posted in the Ship Design forum). All I did in beta 3 was take a template design from Beta 2 and add engines and life support to make it useable in my current game.
When trying to build a colony ship I designed in Beta 2, the game is consistently crashing to desktop right after the population dialogue box. I checked this by changing production to the generic colony ship and the game worked fine. Congratulations, Tezmagorian! I also liked your honorable mention ships.
I take feedback appreciatively; I have a lot to learn with the ship designer. Some of you are real masters!

Congrats to Hamilmac in our bracket and good luck in round 2.
Thanks, Sisko. As I said in the ship design thread, your ship is great. I look forward to using it in the release game. Hopefully, the devs will have another one of these contests when the ship designer is fully polished.
Actually, GC 2 had a memory leak problem that I don't think ever got fully resolved. If I remember correctly, it had to do with saving games and one of the "fixes" was to turn off auto-save. I never played GC 2 on the two largest maps because of this. To this day, even on my Alienware desktop with heaps more performance and RAM than my previous computer, if I play the gigantic map on GC 2, the game
Thanks, Nastytang! Those are some good looking ships.
I've tended to only make "gun" warships so I have been working on some missile based ships. I entered two into the contest, a cruiser and fighter. My MMM cruiser got through and will be up against and probably losing to Hamilmac's abso
Rand, the Federation ship designs are so very cool. Your talent with the designer is impressive! I've always been partial to Klingon designs. Do you do any of those? I tried with our current part set and couldn't come up with anything that looked good enough.
Edladner, that is a cool mining ship. It seems so obvious to actually put an asteroid into the design but I've never seen it before. Your planet killer looks like it would also make a good starport design.
I have to be in our downtown office today, so I'll miss the stream. Comment: Late game in many (most) 4x games can degenerate into boring mop up. Question for Paul: What are Stardock's thoug
I think we should have another contest when the ship designer is fully polished. Imagine what we will be able to do when we can apply color and texture schemes, etc.
Darca, Nasty, Sulley, and Rand, Just wanted to say thanks for the kind comments. I haven't spent much time in this thread (work, family, commute, life) but went back last night looking through the posted ship designs. All of you have designed some awesome looking ships! Stardock needs to get off its encounter-sui
Stardock, A request: There are so many great designs posted in the ship design thread. I would love to have more than eight ships make it into the release game, but at the very least: Could you post a common tool or thread that would allow easy sharing of ship and part designs? <span style="font-family: arial

Below are the ship designs I submitted for the contest. I have to commend the players who can design appealing Altarian ships. Their ship parts are, to me, the most visually appealing, but they are SO hard to work with. <img src="http://s25.postimg.or
The shift key aligns it to the part not the ship. Well, I'll be D..... It works. Thanks!! [e digicons]:D[/e] I wonder if other issues would be solved by a keyboard shortcut. Has anyone done a wiki on the ship designer yet? ( I can find a couple for GC 2, but not 3.) Note: Holding the key stops a part from
After making and submitting 2 ship designs for the contest, here are some issues and wants with the Ship Designer. Issue 1: Customs parts lose mirror properties. <img src="http://s25.postimg.org/6e0wgid0v/Sol
