I like this idea. It would certainly add a dimension to the tactical play as you would have to gain "space supremacy" around a system to conduct an effective campaign. Civilization and Horizon have such a mechanic through city health and planet health, respectively, that have to be reduced before a city/world can be taken. <span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font

Overall, I agree that Civ V: Brave New World expansion has a better diplomacy system than the GC 2 model, though, like you, I don't think it's perfect. The thing that is usually missing from 4X and RTS diplomacy is betrayal. I mean, look at the history of human diplomacy. Betrayal is a major factor: Shifting alliances (sometimes in the middle of a war or even a battle), backstabbing, subterfuge,

Is anyone else experience game freezes on the main map? The game is not crashing to desktop. The screen just freezes and does not recover. Music still plays, and I can even click buttons if I know where they are in the UI, though no windows pop up. When this happens, the only option is to CTRL-ALT-DEL and end the application in Task Manager. I can then reload the last save game and play seve

New bug. When a planet flips to me, the planet still looks like it belongs to the former player until I add/upgrade an improvement on the planet. Same issue here. Haven't researched all the techs yet, so waiting to see if one of them unlocks more modules.
I'm playing the diplomacy "straight" so I don't see these fun exploits (although even straight the diplomacy is way too easy). Keep posting them! Good for a laugh.

More Beta 2 Feedback (turn 146) Before you read the additional comments, please know that I AM having fun and I DO like the direction the game is going. The Dev team have done a great job! (Playing on Huge map as Terrans)
Wish I could post more tonight, but have to work tomorrow. Will play and post more this weekend. Love the new choices for customizing a game and the ability to change victories conditions within the game. (Playi
1. What specific features of diplomacy do you traditionally like the most? I want you to be as specific as you can be. Which parts of diplomacy from any game do you like the most? Starbase bonuses are not so large that stacking them is OP, and starbases provide an important late game money and manufacturing sink. <span style="font-family:

When the planet's income starts to go over its costs (maintenance for all those buildings) then that too will help with approval issues as approval is now tied to wealth.
