For some of these issues if they are reproducable I'd recommend creating a support ticket with the saved game and detailed instructions on how to reproduce so they can fix the issues.
The game crashed on Turn 144, so seemed a good time for an update. Game has crashed 4 times so far (trouble tickets submitted). I have no idea how the Drengin are able to have so many colonies, way more than anyone else. I made a comeback by spamming colony ships and making a beeline for the malevolent ideology that g

Okay. Had my first crash to desktop on turn 116 (trouble ticket submitted) so seemed like a good point to make some comments. Playing as Terrans on an insane map with all opponents, all minors, and two custom races. All planet settings on abundant and everything else on common. Difficulty set to Challenging. </

Update provided at top.
Yet another non-traditional fighter design. This is my third attempt during the betas to create a shark-shaped ship. While I'm not completely happy with this design (looks more like a barracuda), it's the closest to a shark I've been able to get. It actually looks pretty cool in game, especially when they're in a fleet. <span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-s
Thanks for the kind comments and that horrible pun. [e digicons][/e] When we can share designs, I'll post all my (good) designs so anyone can use them, and hopefully others will post the awesome designs I have seen on this forum. Designing the dragon, though, showed that the Designer still needs work: screwy hard poin
A non-traditional fighter design. We finally have enough parts to try some crazy designs. I really wish they would fix mirroring when saving something as a custom part. This design came out too small in the game, but I didn't know it until I'd finished it. I'd love to the scale the whole design up, and even use it for larger ships, but don't know if that's even possible.
Well, I don't normally design fighters but I'm going to try my hand at a few. This first attempt uses one of the "hidden" parts (Relic Model 5) as the main building block because it seemed like such an interesting part to work with. It also uses Promethion Model_01 for the cockpit, another "hidden" part. Generally, I like simple, clean designs. This one uses just 9 parts. Desig
5. The large empire penalty is nuts. How can I ever get 100 planets if proper are.getting sad and.going bat shit nuts just because I got a new colony?!?!? All I would be doing is building approval buildings and never winning the game through conquest, especially on large maps where there are large empires. It just doesn't make snece for this game as it adds micro management and makes something hard, ha
Set the ships to guard or sentry. The mechanics are already in the game to prevent this issue. Guard will have them stay in a location defending it, while ships set to sentry will become "active" on your turn if someone elses ship(s) enter your sensors range. These are in the command menu
The problem is, I find you get the best terraforming results if you hold off until you get all the terraforming techs. I also have a 3-monitor setup and asked during the Alpha phase if Stardock planned to support 5760x1080. They said then that they did not plan to support it.
At the risk of being unpopular, I'm going to push back on this idea. Why? Two simple words: Time management. In my current game on turn 165 I have 109 colonies, and at least another 40-50 colonies still possible for me. The more I have to do, the more complicated the game becomes and the more time I have to s
I like the idea, but only if it wouldn't add too much to our management tasks. The more options that are added, the greater the management burden: Especially on the larger map sizes.
What i want it to do is to autobuild my upgrader ships when i click request, and not the default ones.
I had the same observation. I also use a stripped constructor for local building and a long-range, fast constructor for resource starbases that may be a significant distance from my planets. Being able to select the constructor I want to build--and the shipyards I want to use when I use more than one--would really make this tool valuable.
