The Mayans did NOT predict the end of the world in 2012. As any good Mayan historian will tell you, 2012 was simply the end of an 'age' in their calendar (BC to AD type thing). There are dates recorded after this (years for holy ceremonies etc), indicating that they certainly didn't believe the world was going to end then. The whole 2012 thing came from someone learning about this 'end of an age' thing and assuming that it meant the end of the world. A

KellenDunk I was referring to the wording of all of them, not just the Tech one. Anyway its about as minor a thing as minor can be.
Multiple research sounds cool. [Gal]Civ annoys me sometimes that I only get one topic to research at once. Love the feel of the UI, althogh I'd probably prefer it if the text on the left read 'Technological Research' as opposed to 'Research Technology' etc.
IC to SD hopefully some Sins news will be on the way,

They do need to update the front page though - it still says June 2009. Otherwise we will keep getting people asking questions like this (although I understand this particular post is related to the limited alpha rather than the open beta).
They are now selling the ultimate (or complete - can't remember what its callled) edition of Civ IV, which has the game, both expansions and Civ IV: Conolization, which is a standalone remake of Conolization (an early Sid Meier game), and while not as deep as the main game, is still fun and addictive. Its about $35 on Amazon, or you might be able to get the 'old' complete edition (without Conolization) for less.
Apart from expansions, the full games I am looking forward to are: Elemental Starcraft II Mass Effect 2 if the PC port is good
Basically the idea is that you start in an area where the people were already a faction and a culture, and the cataclysm has driven them into the wilds. You form cities and they come back to you and live there. If you read the lore section you can see how the world is very much based around rebuilding after a disaster rather than Civ style start of civilization.
Blimey you can feel the testosterone on this thread! There has to and always will be DRM on downloaded games. All of them. Every company. DRM is a term that is not really understood well. Pretty much every game ever released has some form of DRM on it. DRM is simply a term used for anything that identifies a copy of the game individually. Some games do this by having the disk in the drive. Others have stuff like
This is only one mode, which is only really feasable with one other human. It is nothing like demigod - its not even the same genre of game, so don't bother comparing. There is also likely to be tactical battles which may be 2v2 or 3v3
Banned for failing to use capital letters upon starting a new sentence. The lack of proper grammar used nowadays is appalling.
No matter how much IC nerf carriers, Chuck Norris will still be able to destroy an enemy fleet with one LC.
Banned because yours doesn't either Edit: This happens all to frequently on this thread [e digicons]:([/e]

Language... Do you ever post a thread not about something not working?
A couple of days ago, there was a thread complaining about Vas SBs being OP, now there is one about them being UP...
OP needs to get his facts straight before ranting on about this. 1. The expansions are not cross compatible, nor can they be. However it is possible to still play vanilla if you want. 2. Stardock is not the developer of this game so stop complaining to them.
How do you play the file? Does it need to go in a particular folder?
I am yet to meet a game where there aren't players who call the AI a joke. I mean, have you been to the Empire TW forums recently? Just because you can beat it doesn't mean everyone else can. People have wildly over-expectant ideas of how good AI is going to be, when lets face it, a good human player can trounce anything. To make a really good AI takes years and years and collossal amounts of processing power. Pointless for computer games.
Basically Elemental will be as close to a MoM sequel as will ever be releaed. In a way its partly a good thing that it is 'not MoM', because it means that they are not constrained by having to make it a sequel. If they were actually making MoM2 then there would be lots of fans saying 'this was in the original thus it must be in the sequel'. SD have a lot more freedom making a speperate title (while taking major influences from MoM of course).
This is getting nowhere. The OP doesn't sound like someone who is going to change his mind and he's not going to persuade the community in general. Close please.
Banned because this thread has being going for two months already and is looking dangerously like being the most popular Stardock thread ever.
ouch... PC: Approximately 30 (including expansion packs) but most aren't installed PS2: About 15 but I don't really use it anymore.
I quite enjoyed Cossacks - its quite an old game though, I haven't played it for some time. And please stop spamming repeat threads.
