Cavan1 - this one XP or vista?
My take... Yahoo is the loser any way you cut it, and Microsoft is the winner, in that it didn't have to have this ridiculous deal go through. I don't know what they had in mind? But I couldn't possibly imagine that deal ending up with a positive result :p
FuzzyLogic: we do plan to have Impulse be customizable at some point in the not-horribly-distant future :)
wow, that's a freakin incredible skin!!!
Hey everybody, Poke your developer friends, I'm interested in hearing if anyone would be interested in writing docklets in .NET languages such as C#. Considering adding the ability to do so. Would allow for simple operation such as overloading the Paint method to do drawing, and performcing drawing via just drawing to the provided graphics object just like it were a regular window, etc etc etc. This as well as assistance in creating/drawing-to/animating alpha-blend
That sucks. I dont give a crap who wins, I just want this nonsense over. Advantage: BluRay, so down with HD-DVD. On a similar topic... I recently spec'd a Dell out the other day with a BluRay drive. Cost an extra $500, for on a laptop anyways. For all the ridiculous added inconvenice of unreliability (my DVD player has never broken, but my PC's video card software sure has freaked out before) I don't see the point, beyond if you plan to rip all the bluray disks to your harddrive (can
Attention everyone, please be aware that there is an update available that takes care of this issue. Support for ALL of our customers is very important to us! We just had to do this one step at a time. We've expanded our relationship with AccuWeather to cover more locations, and have built in location searching. All locations will now turn up and report super-up-to-date data The beta for this update
...I don't get it. Is there even such thing as "stealing an idea for a business"? I mean, unless the process is patented, but I certainly haven't heard anything regarding any patents flying around. Hell NetFlix can't even seem to get anything done in its seemingly obvious case against Blockbuster, where patents on the business model were involved. At the end of the day, its all about execution. ConnectU still looks/works like garbage to this day, and Facebook was always attractive, in
not sure if that suggestion has come up before (probably), but at any rate, popped it up on that priority area of the to-do list. thanks
JazTonic: I'd try reinstalling ; something is likly not working right with your installation. (You can use the troubleshooting dialog to help back up your settings, which sound like they aren't the cause of the problem...except you may want to delete and re-add the search docklet & make sure it gets deleted from the program directory when you uninstall)
Meeting with AccuWeather thursday Improvments are coming.
Hi Folks, As previously mentioned, we can guarentee 64bit support is being added to both the start menu docklet as well as system tray support within a very reasonable timeframe. I'd imagine, for the next release (v1.91)
good i'm glad did find a bug or two in the beta release. any other reports of it being resolved/not?
Agreed. amardeep: check your settings on your dock to see if you have any "hotspots" set for it if it is a tabbed dock. if it is a zooming dock, try dragging the slider for "delay to bring dock to front" all the way to the right to being "disabled".
I can solidly confirm, andrew is correct. babya system is the worst application ever.
Hi Eddie, Updating the beta soon, fixed that summary tab problem. Not sure why that was happening, I think it was a mismatch of included dll's. Thanks, -Jeff
Hi Purrdy - you using Windows Vista or XP? Thanks!
Ah ha! That's it, nice detective work Yes, it was the starting of ObjectDock from Stardock Central. Since Stardock Central is an app that (currently) needs to run as admin because of it's installer-ability, any app it in turn runs Windows automatically makes "run as admin" as well.
One more thing, quick question - User Account Control is indeed on for you correct? Assuming yes, are you running ObjectDock "as administrator"? If so that could be the source of the problem, don't know if there will be a workaround available for that if that is the case due to Windows' security protections.
Hi Bob, I had noticed recently that the drag & drop on Vista with UAC on was sometimes still problematic. We'll have that fixed for the next update for sure
A couple notes about the weather docklet, good news is that we've been working closly with our official partner AccuWeather on improving this, and will be rolling out an updated system later this summer that should significantly improve the situation. As is, some international locations can have some trouble, but on the whole the system has shown to definitely pick up most US locations fine. Second, the weather docklet is freely available as part of the no-charge
Lantec: just noticed your post sorry. Yes, I intend to have it be so you can have some icons always visible and others sometimes visible.
