this events actualy occur only on the homeworld, it starts to be annoying to get all the time some events, which I could use on other plantes better. ie Im getting all the time this colony ships bringing 500mil people, for what, my homeworld is for years at max! it would be nice, when this random events that occur at the end of a round, would happen randomly on any world in the empire, not just the homeworld.

Im just trying for research focus on one of my planets and there happens nothing. I have 30 research regular and 30 when focusing, but my social production falls 2 points down when I focus on research. This actualy happens like all the time. "Focusing" brings at best 1-2 more points, not more, not less, while social production or military production dont fall a lot, just 0-2 points. So either it is not working, or Im missing the way how it works?

btw "earth" is not earth on custom maps. as terra player I get the complete sol system, but not even one correct texture. I tried to define them in the file, but the game crashes when I add "detailed" info like in the customplanets.xml

Well cant edit my text and the new forum software dont like to make paragraphs in the initial post. NO idea whats going on. So here we go with the edit: PS: ... the random generator is still incapable of handling the civs and spreading them in the galaxy well. Im still geting games where all 10 civs start in the same corner or just too close. Just one out of 30 started games are worth playing, on the other hand, they look like as described above. PPS: until this proble

1) "major" problem: the Ai seems not to know how to play on custom maps, it play bad at colonizing, it do bad at economics (even on masochistic level!!!). It seems the comp is not computing AI turns on custom maps (random maps always take some seconds, with the new feature of the extended algorithms its even longer, on custom maps its like "press turn and play right away again"). 2) GC2 does not recognize world size and quality, any habitable planet (class 1 and above) is greenish ter

since you updated the forum software, I get this error Server Error in '/' Application. Index was outside the bounds of the array. like 90% of all the time, it does not matter where I want to go, my account, forum, library or anything else. It starts to be annoying, a lot...

I think the best solution would be jsut to get rid of this "yellow orange red" square thing. Lets say the "enhance" tag determindes how many tiles will get usable. So soil enhancement says enhancementlevel 1 and it will add 1 usable tile to the planet, terraforming for instance 3. This way, we would have our better terraforming options. To stick just to the planetquality ability is silly, as it adds PQ to all worlds as soon as the tech is invented, we want to "terraform" at our own, the world

you cant make a completely new category and have to stick to existing ones (hint hint to the devs, it would be a nice feature, new categories with own new colors to differ the techtree...). but you just need to add the new tech. xeno research is COMPUTING, stellar cartography (another line) is COMPUTING too. So lets say, you make a new tech, tech requires xeno research, category computing, it will be added as new line below xeno research and stellar cartography. The color will be blue

i play regulaly at "crippling", I double checked the AI seting and it was correct. The super great homeworld was just a test because the civs did nothign, so I wanted to give them at least a good "homesystem", but as it dont work either, I reseted it back to normal. SO I realy have no idea whats going on on custom maps. On random generated I have to wait and wait and wait and sometimes it gets annoying, even when in an full abundant galaxy there are 30% empty sectors (once

It took me some time to find out whats going on. The AI plays craps (as cakewalk) on custom maps, even when I give them top homeworlds, there hapens nothing. When I press "turn", I can make the next decisions. But on random generated maps, the AI plays quite great. Between the turns I can realy feel the AI computing its next turn, as it always take some seconds before I can give new orders again. There have to be done something. I dont like the random generator as it keeps creating odd gal

hm, on my comp giant galaxies arent any slower then medium and I dont have that uber top high end comp, just a 3 old thing with 1 gig ram I would love even bigger galaxies, and I would like to see any changes to the random generator, as my "abundant" maps are far away from being abundant

In the example mod, there is file in the gfx folder named "titleback.png", it just replaces the regular main menu background animation. For my mod Im using my own png file, however... the original background is shown on top of my new, but shrinked in size. I thought I will replace my own titleback through the example file just for testing, the same result. So anyone got an idea what to do? (Maybe changing some screen file, but what one and how, I have no idea about this desktopx stuff or w

how can I say in the middle of a game? I also have a problem geting a "good" map where not 30% of all sectors are embty and the rest is PQ0-7 on "abundant all" maps. Geting sick of it, and now I got to restart because of the AI too? Beh WHatever, I set the INT level of the AIs by hand, not using the overall slider, it seems to work to some degree. Thanks for the info.
