Lets say for example you put an agent on an "invention matrix", what does it actually do and is the effect instantaneous? Will the research bonus stop intantaneously for that building or do we have to wait until the agent sabotages the building after awhile? Also, if I put my own agent to sniff out an enemy agent, does it happen as soon as I implant that agent or it takes turns?

Does anybody know the true rundown of how exactly your spies are going to work in Dark avatar? The main questions are for me are the following and are related... 1. When you place an agent, how will that building cease to function? For example, if you place an agent in a starport, will it mean that that planet won't be able to build ships? 2. Can you place more than one agent on a specific enemy tile? 3. Will you be able to see your own buildings ha
I don't really know where your coming from, because i've never been in a situation where trade was such a huge part of my income. Perhaps with Dark Avatar, trade will be changed since with the introduction of asteroids, we will be able to harvest resources by researching the right technologies for better income. In my opinion, we should be aloud
Somebody tell me how governors work in this game, cause other than my home planet I don't see any other planets I can re-direct ships?
Two things that I have noticed: 1. When you decide to cease trade with a planet, I can't re-direct my freighter(s) to another planet since my freighter(s) disapears! I have to build another one? That's ridiculus. 2. When you uggrade your freighter(s) to travel faster, why does it ask you if you want to upgrade all ships in the same class if those freighter(s) during trade will only travel 1 parsec a week anyways even if you upgraded them to go faster?
Because 1.3 wasn't announced with its bug fixes yet, isn't it obvious ??? besides on other game forums, they usually announce patches and their fixes before expansions ... that's why I posted this subject in the first place einstein
Is it cause 1.3 is cancelled ??? if not .. give us the crux of it please ...
I wish that stardock can give a little more insight to the ability of hiring "agents" and what their roles can be ... for example, are agents going to have a choice and concentrate on a certain action like blow up an enemy building or steal a particular ship or even expose governments to cause rebellion by lowering approval ratings and so on and so forth. In interesting concept can be dividing the destablization into 4 like research, economy, influence and diplomacy. For example, in resear
Actually this happened to me once and never repeated again, my turn button disapeared and I thought the game jammed or something so I reloaded and it didn't work and then I restart the game and everything was fine.
Thats why we need an update where we can choose starting locations without actually seeing the map. This way we can atleast know where were starting without seeing the other habitable planets around or any resources. Cause I believe it's not necessary to have many colonies to win a map but if there's a race right next to you at the start of the game then it's either you or it, I would like some distance between my worlds and the other races so I can breath easier.
What's the disadvantage of seperating yourself by the rest of the counsel when they hold an annual counsel meeting ?? I know that you won't be under their laws anymore like paying extra tax when your at war for some ammount of years but what about the disadvantage ???
It's simple, when your not playing the campaign the AI surrenders because the AI makes a quick computing calculation and the result is that it will never be able to conquer you or any other race. Most of the time the AI surrenders when it has virtually nothing left either by someone's influence or conquest upon them. Usually, I suspect when the AI sais that they had the best offer by someone else and so they surrender to them, it's because either they were at war with them or they got converted
Actually I don't care if races colonize or not as long as I get a good challenging game. But I can tell from experience which race colonizes alot and it's non other than the Altarians with their influence bonus.
Here in Canada theft means stealing something with no violence and robbery means stealing something with violence. For example, you pickpocketed without notice or stole things from someone's office without notice that's theft etc... robbery would be snatching a women's purse from her shoulders or robbing a bank by pointing a gun to achieve your purpose.
Oh yes I am on my way to become a law enforcer, I know the difference ... I'll modify it ...
I don't get it, can you say it in english ...?
Oh I've seen pirate ships, it usually happens close to your world when you all vote on a galactic prison and the vote comes to you... So now you have full of fugitives on your planet and eventually they break through and steal ships ... I had to contend with some of them before their strength depends on what they steal and from who ??? Usually if it's your planet, it's your ships ...
I would like more control too, namely the option of choosing which weapons\defences to use against enemy ships with certain amount of ammunition and having an initiative value for ships to have an order of attack. So if it is your turn, if an enemy ship is next and is going to attack your ship, you will have the option to either attack with the weapon(s) chosen or activate your chosen defense(s) depending on the experience of your crew. This is just a general idea off course but can be more deta
I don't know what exactly you mean but I'm getting the sense that it's not your orbital fleet manager that really saved your ass but it was your planetary defenses ??? Or, you might of have a military starbase nearby that gaved you extra firepower or defences ??? The only thing an OFM does is that it acts like the " create fleet " button when your in outer space.
First of all, I simply don't believe you ... attack well over 1500 with 2 ships is utterly ridiculus and impossible. There is no way one can reach that level even if you have researched every logistic and miniturization and hulls ???
I never understood why there are so many difficulty levels in this game anyways ??? I get a huge challenge already on the "challenging" level and I'm always satisfied. I'm sure the AI gets tons of bonuses on the last 2 difficulty levels and in my opinion, difficulty levels shoudn't be about bonuses ( like miniturization ) but rather extra resources on the map like other turn-base strategy games. That way, you will still have time to expand and build your empire before they rush you. Again
I always wanted the research tree to be more oragnized, so instead of having several branches why not have only two branches. I will clarify ... 1. Anything to do with building ( projects, super projects (Including spying facilities), starbases ) .. with their bonuses ... 2. Anything to do with military ( ships, weapons, defenses, engines, miniturization, planetary invasions branch, tactical maneuver branch, special add-ons branch like cloaks etc...
why how many times have you launched surprise attacks on the AI even with friendly terms... it seems the AI is so strong that it's even learning stupid human tactics...
I put a good idea of enhancing on espionage on the thread called for what you wish in an expansion or something like that, go check it out.
It seems to have corrected the issue when I re-installed it and hopefully for good. It no longer crashes ...
