Mod paths change with every patch. If you cant see Mod-Diplomacy v1.37 then go to Options\Mods, and click "Show Mod Path". That will automatically create the proper mod folder.
Major Stress
Gotcha. Mesh is in. I could have miss read the patch notes. Wouldn't be the first time lol
Thanks zombie. I didn't include the fix in TSOP, because it was supposed to be fixed in the 1.1 patch (according to the patch notes). Ill work on getting this stuff incorporated, and see what else if anything was missed.
AHHHH! I thought Stardock fixed the Eradica hole in 1.1! Along with the tech siege frig issue (From trinity TSOP). Damn! guess i better check ALL of the meshes again. The problem with the tec siege frig was one of the bomb nulls was missing. So i made a new one using the existing null, and mirrored the coordinates in the mesh file. If you have TSOP 0.7, or 0.8 the siege frig mesh is fixed in those versions. The Marza, and Vasari scout capital were completely missing bomb nulls, but th
One line from B&C can make a good catch phrase... "Just because your are more enlightened, Does not make us hate you any less".-semi organic cylon seen at the end.
Good Job! You found stuff that we missed in TSOP:R. Plus i wanted to re-incorporate the old trinity planets too, but didn't get around to it yet. Would you mind if i incorporated this into the next build of TSOP? You get full credit of course.
Tested, and All versions of SoA2 still work in the updated Trinity. So you should't have any problems. Just move the mod to the new mod folders, and activate.
TSOP has been updated for Rebellion as well ;)
Glad you are enjoying it. You are playing SoA 2 just as SoA 2 was meant to be played. With Help. You need to make allies. Especially if you are an inexperienced player. Since the Borg are intentionally designed to be OP vs a single faction. While it is possible to defeat the Borg solo. It is very difficult to do. Especially if the Borg are fully teched up. By design if you turtle, and let the Borg max out their research then it is game over for all of the factions. Maxed out Bor
Does this mean all of the Trinity mods are broken?
I am relying on "hotel internet" that drops me every 5 seconds. It will take days just to dl the fixed dev build. If you still got MSN ill try to get online.
Well see.. PM with a dropbox link with what u got.
Outstanding! That saves me one big headache. The UI "window" files, and brushes should not have changed. The files haven't changed since Original Sins AFAIK. Except for additions for Entrenchment, and Diplomacy, but the formats themselves haven't changed. Link me to the working build, and ill try to port Fist0's UI over. Ill probably have to "beyond compare" the brush files, and look for what if anything that Rebellion changed. When i did TSOP for Rebellion i didn't se
B&C wasn't "bad", but it wasn't that great ether IMO. They are trying to stretch the BSG cash cow as far as they can, but they don't realize that it is done, and over with. Time to move on.
I agree totally. If you think the show is absurd then you ignore it. Like most Original BSG fans Dismiss, Ignore, and consider Galactia 1980 as non canon. I feel the same way about Star Trek Voyager, and Enterprise. Yet i used "some" canon ships from both shows to fill in gaps like the siege frigs, and trade ships, because from my point of view you can use a canon ships from bad shows, but use them for a different role than what was seen on screen. As long as it makes sense. then it is doable
Blood, and Chrome may not be that great of a show, but it has a ton of canon material you can use. Like the Orion class battlestar, and the Hybrid Cylon basestar that is a mix of the old and the Guardian base ship. Like with SoA 2 i use what is canon (and makes sense) first before resorting to fan art.
I may be "Retired", but i ain't DEAD ;) I am trying to see what i can do (If anything) to get this ported over to Rebellion. Even if it means building it from scratch again just like we did for Entrenchment, and Diplomacy. I'm gonna build a basic working foundation without the abilities, and researches, and add them one at a time using the 1.1 reference files. I make no promises. Just gonna see what i can do.
PSYCHOAK!!! (or Fist0) PM ME!!
BTW--am I the only one now tempted to take the Hornet and Freelancer, model them in Sins and then post video on the Roberts forum of them "in action"? It would be epic...call me.
Yup. Epic. As in Epic Fail! :p :D LOL!
Its also a bit of lazyness on my part. The only reason the files are binary is for faster load times. It doesn't really effect how much ram the game uses.
As time goes on, and i get used to the mechanic i can probably grow to like the mission system, but "right now" it is quite a challenge. Especially coming from SoTS 1. The learning curve is very steep. That in itself can turn new players off. I still stand by what i say that SoTS 2 is "Advanced 4X". First time 4X players are going to be overwhelmed by the games complexity. Saying that you don't have the patience to give it a chance is wrong. It shouldn't take 1000+ hours of th
We are kind of jumping the gun a bit. I would give it a few years before looking for a Sins 2. By that time better hardware should be available. Plus windows 8 should ether have all its kinks ironed out, or is replaced by Windows 9 (whichever comes 1st) Ironclad still has to finish Sins of a Dark Age, and probably do their next big thing as well.
Like visible achievements for defeating this "Unknown Enemy" that buff your faction. Kinda like kill marks on a fighter. Sounds good. I think the goal is to add on to Sins without over doing it, or going way over the top. Sword of the Stars 2 is the shining example of over doing, and over complicating things that we need to avoid at all costs. SoTS 2 is the extreme opposite of Sins. It has a lot more, and very complex 4X, but very little tactical gameplay. It is the Little thi
It needs a lot more 4X, and a little more Tactical Gameplay. If Sins was to take anything from Homeworld i would take from Homeworld 1. Not from Homeworld 2. I would take Homeworld 1's Tactics, Formations, and 3D movement. Add rotating turrets, ship animations, and firing arcs that were specific, and not general 180 degree arcs. I would make Shields, and Armor weaker in the rear of ships to utilize those features. I would NOT add any subsystems or hardpoints. That would over complicate a
My Dropbox is suspended already for too many downloads. I am able to upload to dropbox, but that is about it. Every other file sharing site i try ether resets, or the file is corrupt. Its the crappy internet i have that cuts me off every 5 minutes. So if anyone can mirror it to a GOOD file sharing site i would greatly appreciate it. The 4X mod should be compatible, I don't see why not, because the 4X mod doesn't alter any graphics that i am aware of. I would NOT run TS
