That was a truly original and classic response Quixen... "as far as I know, I do not know"... I claim Amnesia.... or Alzheimer's disease or something! Why Evil, haven't you ever known something that you forgot?... or is that forgot something that you knew? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd

I've learn an important thing from my first game with them: kill thm quickly or you'll regret it. I learned that as well... Had a real hard time with them, so I figured, if I have such a hard time with them, why not join them!!! Now all I have to worry about are those pesky, self righteous Torians!

"How does a law rule without a human to interpret and/or execute it?" First we must define the word "law". Does it have to be written to be a law or to be understood? "a rule or manner of behavior that is instinctive" Why would any of us believe for an instant that in order to interpret and or execute a law we have to b

So, for all that are interested in scoring on these forums, I have an update. I have reached the 51st position since I began this thread, climbing 6 positions in the last 9 days. I have been watching the score on a daily basis and as of tonight my score has succeeded my posts by 2 points. I have posted 437 times and now have a score of 439. Again, I have no idea how this happened as the content from my very first post versus my last has remained pretty constant. Just my observatio

Yeah I am glad that they made changes as well, but as it was also stated earlier, I think it was made that way originally for a reason. Maybe to Try and even out all the starting civilizations home systems while at the same time making you find more powerful systems elsewhere? That would be my guess anyway.

*** Begin Transmission *** It does serve, that the tables are turned on the Dregin during this time of year. It is fitting that their Ambassador, that is of course if he was who he said he was, ended up on the corn dog stick that so many of your kind, flesh bags that is, ended up on. By the way... We wish to negotiate with you as well and I dare you to try that with us. The Yor aren't the Dregin. *** End Transmission *** Nicely done Sir Nyame.

Now how much would you pay! But wait, there's more! You get the metaverse council for the low, low price of nothing. You get an improved AltMeta. You get a couple of representatives willing to spend 4 hours a day trolling these forums trying to "sell" this to any and all. Representative that are willing to write close to 100 very long replies trying to respond to every lit

The number pad - hmmm? Interesting. When you use the number pad, do you move the ships 1 space at a time? I never knew you could use the number pad, sometimes I still feel like a NoOb. Sheesh. Silly me, I was trying

First I would like to say I have never chosen luck as a starting ability nor have I chosen the Universalists as my faction. I have never, ever, in any games I have played, found a Lucky Ranger. Luck being an ability, well, imagining an entire race being "lucky" is kind

I view this whole thing more as a Statement of Purpose at this point. I was thinking something along those lines as well Marshall. I was going to say a Mission Statement. This is who we are... This is what we want to accomplish... This is how we plan to accomplish... It is however a bit more complex than that, but not by m

No, you we're right the first time. I was? I've no interest in setting up a committee to discuss the setting up of a committee. You must have misunderstood what I was trying to convey. <

BTW Quixen, the complexity rant wasn't particularly addressed towards you. You just happened to provide a good segue into the topic. First I must apologize, I can be pretty thick headed especially early in the morning. After reading the<a href="https://forums.g

Requirement two would be a certain amount of games submited a month Not sure I like this idea. We all know that all games are not created equal. Some games will only take a couple hours to post whereas others could take weeks. Also, some people only post 1 or 2 games a month due to life issues. How are you going to classify an Empire as being

We need to use the KISS principle here I agree completely. I was just trying to state that it could become over complicated very easily. Sorry I did not get that across very well. So far all I have really seen in the form of creating a counsel surrounds the four empires. Not that I am really complaining, I am apart of one of them. May I

Well you kinda can ask for money, just ask it in diplomacy screen and give nothing to the opposite party. You can do this with Tech, planets, Influence points, and ships as well. You just really do not get the satisfaction of the threatening dialog. Adding the dialog would be a nice touch.

Kryo doesnt have to be the only one. You are on the money with that statement sir. However, without Kryo on board we would not have the Altmeta. So as I said... A good first step indeed. Fellow HCH members, I have stopped by our forums and cast my

Here is where we may run into trouble. We want everyone to have a say. How is that going to be represented? I have an idea, not sure how good it will be, but it is an idea none the less. 1. An Empire must have X members before they can be represented by an Ambassador within the counsel, or must have posted X amount of points as an Empire. 2. An Empire has a single Ambassador who will vote on "bills" brought before the council. 3. An Empire who does not met the crite

I personally would favor going towards a system that ended up with a single representative from each active empire (senators) and the remaining elected "at large" (representatives). This is Ideal. The way I see it, if an Empire has 2 "Ambassadors" elected to the council, and they each have a vote and truly vote the way their empire wants them

I KNOW about the ring of "influence", but it is not a border. Yes it is. I consider this my territory.

Ideally it would be a collapsible/expandable tree that, in its collapsed form, displayed the highest level tech a civ had in each branch. I think this is a brilliant idea. Would be a nice change.

Also once we prove that we can increase interest in the Metaverse and once we prove that we can speak for the majority of Metaverse players, we will be in a far better position to request reasonable changes from Stardock. This is the key. Getting Kryo on board since he was the creator of the Altmeta program and an employee of Stardock, was a ve
