Heh... I see it now... ** feels dumb ** I am one of those people who could stare at one of those abstract pictures for days, and not see anything. You know the ones, where your have to cross your eyes while standing on your head, looking slightly to the left and whistling Dixie? Your supposed to see a damn sail boat or something, not me... I see a bunch of stupid colors and get a freaking headache. However, I am thick headed enough, that I'll stand there for a couple days if allowed,

If you look at the games I have submitted, small maps are practically all I have ever played. I tried a medium map at one point and found it quite different. Marshall summed up most of the reasons I play a small map quite nicely. For some reason, maybe because that is all I know, I am comfortable in a smaller galaxy. With that said, as of now, I have started a painful / gigantic / loose / abundant / very fast research / 9 opponents map. Talk about being taken out of your comfort zone. <

I found this post very amusing because 1337 is about the only word in that "dialect" I understand. n0v4k4n3, if you do not mind me asking... after looking for 2 minutes I understood... |\| 0 0 |3 But what in the world does this mean? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Bod

can be fully colonized with in the first year of game play I noticed you said "can be" fully colonized. On suicidal how often does this happen? I am currently playing gigantic / loose / abundant everything / very fast research / 9 AI, on painful, and as I stated, I just passed a year and my guess is about half have been colonized.<br/

"ruling council" of the metaverse The purpose and goal of such a council would be to promote participation in the MV regardless of empire affiliation. It is a good idea Mumble but the question re

Q.O, while I do agree with most of your posted "review", there are a couple areas I feel compelled to respond. Because I own a humble home, an older car, have decent food on my table, have a dog, a job that pays well enough to have these things, a wife and kids that love me, and morals, I classify myself as being successful, where others may not. </TAB

At least the multiplayer in Civilisation lets you micromanage while the other person has their turn. This feature would also make a Galciv multiplayer bearable. Ok, you wait while I design my new, Huge Battle Cruiser. I think after an hour or so, (including your turn because I started the design while you were playing) you will disconnect. Jus

I'd like to hear any ideas people have that could increase the overall interest and participation in the metaverse. Hmmm.. Ideas you say? I think the leaders of the Empires should take a more active roll in recruiting first of all. When I started playing, and felt confident enough to start posting my games on the Metaverse, I posted a t

The square galaxy that is colonized in a few weeks is getting boring. I do not know about any of you, but I have played the small size galaxy 14 total times, abundant everything. Usually takes me the better part of 6 months to grab the last planet. I just started a Gigantic and after a year of colonizing I would say only half the total planets

I have to say, that would upset me something terrible. I think Stardock should take the time to look into this event. I know there should be a down side to being Evil, however, an instant you lose event should not be a factor in the game for the Good, Evil or Neutral civs in the game. Some events should not happen until a certain amount of time has gone by and certain criteria are met. This is one of them. Just my opinion of course.

** Salutes ** Captains Report... I have conquered yet another small galaxy in just 6 short year’s sir, making this my 15th conquered galaxy. The Dregin and Drath were fairly tough but that did not slow my invasion force down for very long. Headquarters generated my leadership report and for the first time I scored 16750 points. Only 250 points higher than my best appraisal, but higher none the less. This score propelled me from being ranked 361 in the 'Verse to the rank o

So they should get a boost to morale from being moral? I must agree as well, they should get a significant advantage in this area.

Wow... talk about dragging something up from the murky depths. I agree that evil tends to be stronger on many levels in this game, however, Good does have a presence and depending on your strategy and goals for the game, could even be considered to be an even more viable option. The fact that they have made the evil colonizations choices the strong

With Gal-Civ II, I have the ability to completely change the game from the content, right down to the very ship textures. It is refreshing to see a post like this regarding GalCiv2. Most people seem to take this very option for granted and focus on the negative aspects most games of this genre are plagued with. I say Bravo! Bravo to

Strange thing you start off with one such ship if you don't have the tech to build it... Wow, I am not the only one who thought this was strange as well.

I'm one of the few who don't Ctrl-N over and over to get a bonus, I take what I am given I am exactly the same way! Whoa. I must agree... I am glad the tile count is exactly as it was before. Thanks Frogboy!

The Beta has been running for some time now and this is the first time "we" have seen someone think that the Yor super ability was actually a "bug". We have heard that the ability is stupid, over powering, game altering, not fair, needs to be changed, needs to be deleted, but not that it was an actual bug... I am not so sure we will see it again.

BP... The article you linked was somewhat educational and down right entertaining. This is a question that I have to ask. What purpose does it serve to... translated the entire Bible into SMS-speak. Would it be because it would make the Bible easier to read? Probably not for my generation. I have to believe there cou

I agree with DethAdder. A few turns like normal, then BAMM, 25% of my ships now cap at 3 moves per turn regardless of whats installed on them. Sounds to me like you are entering Yor controlled space. Of course this is their super ability. I have yet to see anyone post this as a bug so I am inclined to believe that is what is going on

I really appreciate all the help and support you guys have given me. It feels good to know that there are actually people out there who care about other players even if they are not part of their Empire. It really stinks that I have to start over... However, I do look forward to the chall
