Feel better?

I am pretty decent at the game but my highest score thus far is 16500 pts... 300,000 points a game seems... uh... a little out of my league. I am pretty sure I would be able to hit 50K somewhere in the near future. If I delete the games under this current character will those scores be subtracted from my current empire as well?
you just need a straight up new computer Not that you need this but... I second that comment.
Again, I do not see the point in demonizing success, if this success is gained with humility, charity and love for others. It is sad that the only examples of "successful" people held up in this context were Bill Gates and
Just rambling now... see what you do to me Quixen. Oh sure... blame me. I realize they add more eggs to make sure at lea
If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask sir. You can also do a forums search from the top right of this forums page. Welcome to Galciv2.
Touché' Me? Long winded? Ok, you got me there... but I think there is a difference between being long winded and being "Mumbled". Hence, the coined phrase by Drengin. It seems when you make your longer posts, you are almost always be
Thanks again Kryo and thanks for the information Mumble. I do have a quick question on the penalty you are referring to however. I am currently playing my 15th game. I understand that the sum of depreciated scores is divided by the number of games^.4 . I also understand games will depreciate in point value by a percentage every 30 days. If my scores continue to rise and I continue to play with the same character, will it really take that much longer to break the top 25?
Is there somewhere an overview which galactic improvements and super projects pay off for the whole empire and which are only benefiting the planet they have been built upon? For more information on planetary improvements, super projects, galactic achievements, and trade goods... see the <a href="https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Planetary_i
I thought I would just let this play out and watch from the sidelines but the discussion has gotten rather interesting so I have decided to chime in. Not sure if that is a bad thing or not. Again, I do not see the point in demonizing success, if this success is gained with humility, charity and love for others. I agree with the above st
you have been mumbled! ROFL! I have to remember that one! I find Mumble as being very informative and forth coming with very useful information and I hold him in the highest regards, much respect for him. Sometimes, however, this not being one of them, he can be rather long winded on a subject... hehe ( I guess we all can be at one poi
All I can say is... WOW! I am thinking of starting my first Gigantic map and hope I can achieve 1/2 of your posted income. Nice Job Fuels.
Once upon a time I looked at the Avatars as a way to recognize the poster, however, recently I have found that the Avatars tend to change. People get tired or bored with them and or create or find something better. I agree with the above statements, you need not have an avatar to be recognized, however, for customization of your character, it adds quite a bit. Some people like symbols, Yin / Yang, initials, badges of honor, family crests, so on and so forth. Others like items
So if I understand correctly, the high scores are still possible in 1.4X just harder to achieve and there is no penalty for using an earlier version... However, It is worth noting though that older versions may have bugs that can lead to cheat flags, however. As the GalCiv2 game is updated from version to version, is the Metaverse also u
I have yet to see the results of any polls. How was it formulated? I am not sure where to find the polls exactly but what I do know, is if you read the O.P. and you actually believe what Brad / Frogboy / Draginol ( The actual designer of this game ) had to say then you need not have asked that question. Here are his actual words on the subject
Happy Holidays loyal brethren of the H.C.H! It seems that we have stirred some activity within the top two empires! There forum threads are buzzing with activity and their members are starting games in order to thwart our bid for a higher slot within the Metaverse! Not to mention it seems they have closed the gap between each other and are now fighting amongst themselves for the 1 st place title. We have many galaxies to conquer this coming year if we hope to catch them. <
thought about just posting this under one of the Metaverse scoring threads but thought better of it when I did not see any of them bring up this question. In regards to the different versions of the game, is there a scoring difference? For instance is it easier to score more points in version 1.3 than in version 1.4X due to the morale nerfing of the stock markets in 1.4X? Also, if I do decide to play an earlier version of the game, are the scoring values for an earlie
Maybe adding a Terraformer module for starships You know what? I really like the sound of this idea. Being able to make a PQ 0 planet into a habitable one. Way back in the day I played a space strategy game on the Nintendo called Overlord. I also believe it was PC based as well. It was a pretty good game. You had to terraform your
"Perhaps another dumb thought. Do you have administrative rights on the pc?" Of course, but what would that really have to do with it? Well if you did not have administrative rights on that computer, it could be set to where you cannot down load from the internet. Fuels just was looking for another possible explanation.
I managed to find some information regarding both 1.4" and 1.4X" . According to Brad / Frogboy / Draginol 1.4 will be known as 1.4X on Stardock Central and in game. Hope this helps Darkspire.
To summarize… I gave very detailed instructions when I posted the Build time = Never bug. Which, I might add, included a request that if it was "not" a bug to please post a reply that states why. I can find *nowher
That is my number one reason for playing in the Metaverse I agree with the Marshall on this. While I do like playing with the mods that myself and others have created, I tend to always go back to the Metaverse for this very reason. On many occasions the game still hits that point where it becomes very tiresome. This is where you try to
I guess in that regard, you may be right Jeff. I have yet to play above tough and have found up till this point I am walking over the AI. Maybe at the higher levels you cannot do as I suggested. I was just speaking from my own personal experience with the game, but with the levels tough and below, the above suggestion will not work. An experienced player will realize this and continue the mass assaults.
Did I miss something? Government type is not dependent on alignment, is it? I do agree with Quixen with regards to leaving the default dictatorship government ASAP. No, you did not miss anything. Evil made mention that he rarely if ever uses another form of government. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 clas
Disclaimer: I do not know how true this is but I thought it was funny, was sent to me via email, thought I would share. This has got to be one of the funniest things I've heard of in a long time. I think this guy should have been promoted, not fired. This is a true phone call from the Word Perfect Help line which was transcribed from a recording monitoring the customer care department. Needless to say the Help Desk employee was fired; however, he/she is current
