Huh...game doesn't look as bad as I thought it could be, but your right, it is not a SimCity game. No zones was a bad move, though Housing, Workplace and venue buildings all seem to be residential, industrial and retail zones condensed into single buildings. Also, I only see roads, no motorways, railways or subways (yes I was one of those kids who played with a train set), airports, ferryports or space ports etc so thats a put off. However I do like the freedom this ga
Mighty Mongoose
But its poisoned EA chocolate that will give you diarrhea... It's a chance I'll have to take!
***EA drowns Mongoose in Chocolate for his comments....*** I'll actually enjoy eating my way out of that one.
aah, something like destroyer class? Exactly, I don't know what function they would serve, but 'tis food for thought.
I really can't imagine how this can be realistic. PLayers will actually have to choose between a Power Station or Chocolate factory, c'mon, when has that happened in the real world. I'm not one for trampling attempts at innovation, but this attempt and "innovation" must be...uh...trampled.
its that DVDs and CDs work in 2D where these work in 3D True, DVD's and CD's work out the the edge, Holographic disks work out the the edge and them straight back to the middle, and the way they do it is astoundingly clever (yet obvious). A simple analogy is those "holographic" fridge magnets that change the image when you move them. These disks actually write the second and third layer of data in a slightly different way than the first, so to a
I think he's saying there should be an intermediary between teeny ships and big ships, to make it seem like a more fluid progression. Also I like the details bleeding through about the campaign, even if it turns out to be the game's weakest point, it could still be fun!
Awe-some, I love the latest posts window on the main page, as well as the updated wallpaper and latest media window. I know its still just under a year away but Sins now feels almost in reach.
*Reads about Gingerbread houses* *Shoots self* *Sadistic bullet wants to see me suffer and doesn't kill me, instead remains lodged brain, damaging key areas, for some reason SimCity Societies now seems like a good idea*
Wow they look awesome. Satisfying for anyone with a carrier fetish. Word to the wise Multi, the pics embedded in your post only appear as Red x's to me, although it could be my browser.
I think bombers are already in the game, as are general Space Superiority fighters. I would like to see interceptors if they aren't already implemented. Torpedo bombers see way overpowered, maybe that should be mitigated by them being massively expensive and slow. Meaning you could have maybe one torpedo bomber to every squadron. Otherwise I can see them being extremely irritating, taking out tons of my ships before I can destroy them. I think defenders maybe too much,
Bah! Mass Market Schmash Schmarket. Make PC games require a Quantum Physics degree I say, the more complex the better. Just not so complex as to make my brain melt... Another thing that worries me is transportation, in all the screens I've seen only one type of road, where are the elevated railways, subways, monorails, railroads, freeways and avenues we've grown to love?
Why won't he learn, STOP BEATING A DEAD HORSE!
it really has nothing to do with the fact that its 20 different countries 27, not that it matters China has an extensive military, but they arent going to be doing any invading either True, I don't see a China-America War anytime soon, who would make all our toys? still see them
1 -- For the first time in the franchise's history, an in-house team at Maxis/EA isn't developing the game. At the helm of SimCity Societies is Tilted Mill, the folks behind Caesar IV and the sleeper society-builder Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile. Why isn't Maxis working on it? The answer's simple: Will Wright and his team are busy with Spore. But Rod Humble, the head of EA's Sims division, handpicked the Tilted Mill guys, and its previous city-building successe
Well, if they took the graphical engine and redesigned the game to be good old fashioned SimCity (I do love building subways, I don't know why, I just do) it would be the BEST SIM GAME EVER! Save perhaps for Spore. Lets pray Tilted Mill listen to the voices on the forums and go back and rebuild from scratch.
Wow...I had no idea that these games had such a famous cast: Richard Dean Anderson (Stargate SG-1) Liam Neeson (Qui Gon Jinn-Star Wars) Michael Dorn (Work and...*shudder*...IM Weasel) Ron Perlman (my ears never lie) Tony Shalhoub (best known as Fred from Galaxy Quest and Monk from...um...Monk)
For the topic, denmark and EU has desided that within 2015 everything poluting has to be reduced with 15 or 20% if i remember correct. London and many other cities are already using electric tram systems and hydrogen buses, currently the UK is on target for its pollution reduction deadline, unlike some *glares at France, Spain, Germany and Italy*. Sigh, it seems strange that, since shunning the Kyoto agreement, Bush is only now talking about cli
Multianna goes looking for where to buy it* Don't think its out in Europe yet Multi, sucks to be us.
Wow...nice trailer, was that Ron Perlman's voice at the end?
Spartans are well known for going up against impossible odds, together Mongooses and SPAR-TANS will fight to the death.
I've been watching this game for ages, all I really know about it is it looks awesome. I'm itching to get my hands on it fortunately it comes out soon over here in the UK. I don't think its really competition for Sins seeing as its more simulation than strategy, however you should check out SpaceForce Captains , competition maybe for GCII?
all to do about the defender having an excessive advantage that becomes almost impossible for the offense to break. And there in lies the satisfaction of breaking one...
(I'm never going to be good at modeling... Modelling isn't everything, I specialise in animation/lighting, any models I make myself are very simple and crude. With what software? I use mostly Maya, Lightwave 3D and Adobe After Effects (the latter two at school, the first at school and home). I prefer Maya because its the only software I have found so far that renders motion blur (objects travelling at ce
