Blah. Nice subtitle, simple, yet profound. I am actually shocked at the lack of traditional starbases in the game, yeah broadcast centres and factories blah de blah...but these are orbital facilities. There should be deep space facilities (ie Starbases) capable of spreading influence, manufacturing ships and defending itself in combat. I Also, I noticed that stars have "levels", but only level 1 is in the game<
Mighty Mongoose
Darn...never mind...what I was gonna say has already been said...I was too slow to the post button. Bravo Space Voyager, bravo.
I was just kiddin', I don't think anyone is that picky (glares at Emp to keep quiet) mongy LOL, I don't know what that means in the US, but it means something quite...illegal over here .
Combined arms....with you 100% there. If anyone here has played ST:Armada II, you will know it was hugely disappointing. In Armada 1 all ships were critical to success and battleships were major forces to be reckoned with (and very crippling if they got destroyed). The possibilities for strategy were immense. Armada II sent all that flying out the window. Ships became obsolete within minutes (and I can say I never used many of them)and all you had to do was churn out MASSES, in
(or some rather cheap human players) Cheap...or cunning?
prestine Pristine
I wish my games were so...EPIC. I normally have either a diplomatic victory (the victory for painty waisted non-men) or an excercise in total slaughter, never do any of my wars weave like that...sigh...maybe I'm too good.
Ah...I love the smell of flamewar in the morning...
I live in the UK and I ordered Dark Avatar with disc, it only cost around £20, its worth getting without the retail box IMO.
The fact that anyone would leak Halo 3 beta footage and spoil the surprise for us is dispicable, low down and dirty. Anyway, here it is
I think the AI should be capable of backstabbing but this: Shortly thereafter it broke alliance, but I already had fleets set up around its planets. Should never happen, it should be able ascertain whether or not its gonna gets its ass kicked up and down the galaxy if it breaks the alliance or not. seriously alliances are USELESS and need to be made more GalCiv 2 style The Torians once stabbed m
tsk tsk, I said square inch. I know, but the amount of square inches on the body is nowhere near enough to multiply 30,000 into 50,000,000,000,000.
And to think we almost made it to 35 posts without straying off topic . Well, just to give an impression of how impermeable this thread has become, I am a closet physicist and I have absolutely NO idea what is going on here...is it me or do massive arguments always occur between Schem and an Emperor?
Oh my GOD! What have you done to Jimmy!?!?!? Wow could we be more off topic?
I do like that skybox. Reminds of the dark purply and green nebulae of Freespace 2. However I am glad they changed the Phase Drive effect.
I sorta enjoy when you have seizures Mongoose... Nice to know that if I ever have a seizure you will be laughing instead of calling an ambulance.
why would they be angled like that? and why would they be on stilts? Possibly to retract into the hull and to allow the hangar to be pressurized or the ship to travel in Phase Space (think Galactica's flight pods) or simply to allow the fighters to clear the ship rapidly. missile silos Ah, I actually quite like that idea, long range tactical nukes perhaps? of speaking
isnt physics just so freaking awesome though? Thats what I say to my science teacher, but still we do biology...
HUGE MASSIVE WEAPON ARMS OF DOOM!!! What I meant is I don't see any turrets. And they seem like fighterbays. Who hasn't heard of sins yet? Good question
Link Very nice, an idea that sounds like it would work...against radiation, not Klingons.
[ he might be , say if his pc doesn't run the game after he downloads it... but thats just hypothetical.... Blasphemy
Umm, is somebody forgetting about "Homeworld"? You can pick anybody on the Sins forum and they will rip your head off for saying that, our pet hate is people comparing Sins to Homeworld since it has often been used in a derogatory fashion (which you didn't, good for you).
Reminds me of the TV show Andromeda >shudder Anyway here is a handy dandy to scale diagram of light moving between the Earth and the moon, it is just over one light second away. I do not believe a gravity well would be anything less than two or three light se
They're for bagels, actually, but yeah. The virtue of bagels, so often overlooked by great military leaders Also have you noticed there is in fact two of those ships in the shot? There no doubt, those are advent ships I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, since in an earlier thread the large ship in the bottom of the shot was confirmed to be Vasari, since all the other
Waffle Toasting Slots? I'm gonna go with that one, a fleet needs to be well fed.
