The Worldwar series by Harry Turtledove is fantastic. And if you like humourous books, you can't go wrong with The Hitchiker's Guide To the Galaxy . Hope that helps.[e digicons]:thumbsup:[/e]

On August 8, 2235, war broke out between the Drengin Empire and Altairian Resistance. Although the Earth Federation was neutral in this conflict, its common border with both civilizations, along with its recent alliance with the Drengin, motivated the creation of a new ship that could out-class nearly anything both sides had to offer,a s well as replace the aging Stabber class frigates. The result was the Thor class, Starfleet's first true battleship. <img st

Admiral William Evans sat in a chair that seemed to be two sizes to small, waiting for Admiral George Healy to call him into his office. He held a data-pad in one hand, and a stylus in the other; the almost-pen was slashing across the small computer's screen. <span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana;

I really don't like this trailer. The ridiculously fast "music", sparse dialogue, and flashes of combat (which didn't give me a sense of what was going on) make it seem like yet another adreneline-filled action-fest, and nothing like ST. And what's with the car in the opening shot? It looks like a 50's Cadilac. Don't get me wrong, I love those, but isn't this movie set in the future?[e digicons]X|[/e]

All I can think of now is: *An option to type my own flavor text for custom races. After all, how would a refuge of human freedom fighters hiding from the despotic Terran Empire get plans for Hyperdrive as a gift from "Earth creatures"?
