I read one of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels recently. If you like politcal intreague (sp?), check them out.
The Worldwar series by Harry Turtledove is fantastic. And if you like humourous books, you can't go wrong with The Hitchiker's Guide To the Galaxy . Hope that helps.[e digicons]:thumbsup:[/e]
That probobly isn't good....

Ugh, I can't get my pictures to show. The form for inserting images has changed; can anyone tell me how to use it properly?
On August 8, 2235, war broke out between the Drengin Empire and Altairian Resistance. Although the Earth Federation was neutral in this conflict, its common border with both civilizations, along with its recent alliance with the Drengin, motivated the creation of a new ship that could out-class nearly anything both sides had to offer,a s well as replace the aging Stabber class frigates. The result was the Thor class, Starfleet's first true battleship. <img st

I tried to update my AAR, Rise of the Earth Federation , (long overdue, I know) and when I clicked "Post Reply", the reply box where the text should have been was empty. Little help here? P.S., I copied it from MS Word.
What just happened? I tried to update, and all I got was an empty reply box. I'll file a bug report.
Admiral William Evans sat in a chair that seemed to be two sizes to small, waiting for Admiral George Healy to call him into his office. He held a data-pad in one hand, and a stylus in the other; the almost-pen was slashing across the small computer's screen. <span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: Verdana;
I really don't like this trailer. The ridiculously fast "music", sparse dialogue, and flashes of combat (which didn't give me a sense of what was going on) make it seem like yet another adreneline-filled action-fest, and nothing like ST. And what's with the car in the opening shot? It looks like a 50's Cadilac. Don't get me wrong, I love those, but isn't this movie set in the future?[e digicons]X|[/e]
or players are free to create their own.
Does this mean there will be custom civs? I hope so; custom civs one of my favorite things in GalCiv 2.
Thanks for the info.[e digicons]:thumbsup:[/e]
All I can think of now is: *An option to type my own flavor text for custom races. After all, how would a refuge of human freedom fighters hiding from the despotic Terran Empire get plans for Hyperdrive as a gift from "Earth creatures"?
And another one: Title: Tokyo's Next Top Monster Genre: Reality Show Monster Type: Various Ship: Depends on contestant. I bought Spore a few weeks ago and love it, but I have a question: I've reached Omnipotent status in the space phase, and the game hasn't ended. So, my question is as as stated above: Is there a way to win the space stage, or does it continue ad infinitum ?
Title: Flying Snakes Eat Berlin! Genre: Sci-Fi/horror Monster Type: 70-foot long snakes with wings (look sort of like Chinese dragons, but evil-er). No ships; were mutated by a secret Nazi atomic test in WW2.
1 question about the maps: are the countries in kakhi not part of any alliances? by the way, great story.
My brain hurts....[e digicons]:sick:[/e]
