Very nice. Read a lot like Starship Troopers.
General Homsar
Let's not forget the monster with one of the coolest rampage sequenses of all time: Gorgo's mother. Before the movie ends, she eats a battleship, takes a barrage of tank shells to the chest, and stomps London into the ground, all to save her kid. Now THAT'S commitment.
Nice job, Mthaylings! The chevrons are a nice touch.
NEWS FLASH: I had to get a new computer, so expect more updates soon. Long live the Federation!
I wonder who will be the villan in the third movie. Two-Face is the most likely, but he looked pretty dead to me. :p A re-imagined Riddler (i.e., no green jumpsiuit with question marks) would make an excelent new villan, IMO. Of course, if we introduce a new villan every movie, we might go the way of {shudder} Shoemaker's (sp?) movies. The crazier villans (Freeze, Penguin, Poison Ivy, ect.) are out of the running from the get-go. And then there's Nolans ver
That equation proves that mass and energy are interchangeable, not that either can be destroyed.
doesn't the 'c' in that equasion stand for the spped of light? *I'm not trashing your reasonign or questioning your understanding, I just want clarification.*
was there supposed to be a picture there?
No, just some kind of formatting error.
mmmm a Terror star maybe?
The Telenath, actually.
Heath Ledger was terrifying in this move, but what was with that Chicago accent?
Sounds intresting...watchout for the Drath, though. Those guys are tough!
The twin ion engines of the Barbados hummed to life as the reactor came on-line. The lights dimmed momentarily, and returned to their original brightness as the hum of the engines became a low, steady drone. Evans shivered in his black admiral's uniform as the ship slowly floated out of its dock and into space. The shiver wasn't due to cold--it was rather warm on the bridge--it was an involuntary reaction to his sigh of relief. He had been doubtful when the ship was repaired in nine days
If we get that far. There will be another layer of government.one per planetary system. IE earth/moon. One for the whole system. The planetary one covers the planet and moons. The solar system one would cover the solar system and not care about the planets. Sort of like the us system of government.
Hmmm...you may be onto something here,Daniel. Come to think of it, this is the only way of governing a star system that makes sence.
The best we can do is argue about it.
Then I guess we're sunk, if the best thing we can do is argue over the Internet.
Valkyrie
Is that the movie where Tom Cruise is the Nazi that tried to kill Hitler?
Ironman2
I hope the Iron Monger suit makes a comeback here. The fight at the end of the first movie was WAY to short. Persoanlly,I'm waiting for the re-make of The Day the Earth Stood Still and the movie adaptation of Watchmen.
Thank you for clarifying, but as I said, that is an extremely low estimate, and it is most likely far less common than that!
I hate to come off as gruff, but I'm still not 100% convinced. I just think that the nature of the unverse should be discovered by exploration and experimentation, not formulas and equations.
"Furthermore, an extremely conservative estimate of the probability of life-supporting planets coming into being comes out to be one over a one with fifteen zeroes behind it." There's when you said "estimate", PraetorFenix.
(I don't really get how it works, but I would try.)
Well don't worry about that, I sent you an invite!
Thanks!
Harbourne, do you have any Mv charactars who aren't part of Galactic Starfleet Command? If so, could you give me thier names so I can send them an invite?
On behalf of the Earth Federation Starfleet, I accept your offer. May any who dare cross us know that they wil feel the full might of our civilazations!
Whenever I try to view someone else's Metaverse profile, I always end up seeing my own. What is the cause of this?
but is this based on the ARR
Correct, but I created A new Metaverse charactar for this empire. My other charactar is still a member of the Kzinti.
"You know, there are some Drath aboard.” “That’s racist.” You got a laugh out of me with this, Eidolon1032. ;)
The United Confederation of Planets and its StarFleet welcome You
The Earth Federation extends its greetings in return. Unfortunately, our Kzinti allies may not be as hospitible...
Uh-oh! A certain bug is in trouble....
