add an ability for survey modules to collect scraps from destroyed ships Sounds great, but complicated to implement.. Someone suggested in another thread that new anomalies could pop up during the game, that would make a GGB more useful. Also, maybe, more powerful anomalies would be a good idea to make them more interestin

anyone knows maybe what's the meanwhile of the ship that travel on the ocean? Ehh, ... Increase research priority... ... Researching Universal Translator ... We'll have this figured out in not time!
Minor Races are Races that are usually very satisfied with just their homeworld and don't expand. You can trade with them or take their nice planets, that's what they're for. Sometimes, when my legions are plowing around the galaxy for my never ending drive to expand my empire, I let one or two Minor Races continue existing to soothe my conscience..

I solved my problem!!! Here is the solution for anyone who's interested; To use shipdesigns from normal games in metaverse games: Copy your ships .shipcfg file to the metaverse ship directory Rename an .xml file from another ship in that directory to your moved ships name. Change the data in the .xml file with a text editor to match your moved ship. I didn't even change all the data in the .xml file, there's a hullcode which I didn't change because I didn
Yes, thanks, I did that and no harm was done, it really bugged me that I had a whole lot of shipcfg files for versions I had deleted a long time ago. Now I understand that shipdesigns can't simply be copied to the metaverse ship dir for use in metaverse games, but could there be another way to use regular game ship designs in a metaverse game? I've got some simple designs which I'm quite attached to, so if nothing else works I might just start a new regular game and play it, un
Can anyone explain to me the ship directory structure and the different ship files? Currently I go about designing ships in the following way: In game A: I create a new ship design without equipment, which I call 'Assault Frigate Mk0' for instance. Then I create equipped versions as the game progresses: 'Assault Frigate Mk1, Mk2 etc.' When I create Mk2, I delete the Mk1 version, because I don't need it anymore in this game, and I'm not interested in this specific Mk1 version
Could it be that you confused cost and size, I did that once, not trying to suggest that you're as dumb as me..
I would really like to know what kind of crack head civilization can build an entire starport in a week but can't even pump out two lousy tiny scout ships from the same starport in a single weeks time. It isn't the building of a scout ship that takes a lot time, that takes almost no time. The secret of the slow growth of interstellar galactic fle
Once I'm slightly on top in the galaxy regarding military techs, and ships start to survive several battles I assemble a few in a special fleet. These ones I protect by using them in battles, but not taking any risks. So I could have four good frigates in a fleet with one expendable ordinary one which I have to replace sometimes. I also fight with this fleet with one or more fleets for backup in case my 'special' fleet runs into trouble. With this system I create an assault fleet with h
Your WWII game idea was slightly better.
If you were gonna make the game yourself, I might be impressed. What's the point of yet another WWII game/idea?
