Debug Message: Version 1.00 last updated on: Fri May 30 14:12:06 2008
I think I see your problem. You are running version 1.0 of the game. There have been several updates to the game since it originally came out. Download our game updater, Impulse, if you don't already have it. Here's a link (http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe).

Do you have the latest version of the game?
Anytime you sell a million or more copies, you're doing quite well. If we can take just the Xbox 360 as an example, the criteria for a console game to become a "Platinum Hit" is that it sell 1 million units or more. Look at the relatively small number of Platinum Hits in comparison to the number of games that have shipped since the console came out in late 2005. You're looking at less than 10%, easy. So yeah, I wouldn't call sales of 9 million and 5 million c
what is the problem here?! NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000
Xerotti, Sorry, but your card is also too old to run the game. It does NOT support Pixel Shader 2.0 or DirectX 9.0c. You'd have to have at least an NVidia Geforce FX for pixel shader 2.0, but in NVidia's case, you'd need GeForce6 or higher for full DirectX 9.0c compatibility, as indicated in the chart <a title="Pixel Shader chart" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_shader#Hardware" targ
Yes, I'd also like to find out what's wrong with my computer and why it won't let the game work. I've gone into the comp. and it says I have DirectX 9.0c, so I should think it would work. Can you guys help me out? Thanks Debug Message: Intel(R) 82845G
NCSt8Fan, The game's requirements are as follows as mentioned here ( https://www.politicalmachine.com/game/purchase ):
Windows XP/Vista - Windows XP 64-bit is not supported.
Good find. It's always nice to see Stardock in the news. :)
It's not that we don't want the game to come to Impulse, it's that we can't get it. As for the other thread's wording, it does say we are getting the "majority" of the Paradox titles, and that (as far as I'm told) is still entirely true.
So a coworker turned me on to this upcoming game called Plain Sight . Apparently you're a robot, and you kill other robots for points. To cache your points, you gotta kill yourself. Get killed by someone else and you lose your uncached points. Rinse and repeat. Highest score wins. Anyway, this sounds like a highly addictive and fun-as-hell game. They even have
4:37 PM apparently Sword of the Stars has another expansion pack. we have the base game and the first expasion pack up on Impulse. any word on the new one? 4:38 PM We won't get the new expansion. It's exclusive to Gamer's Gate because they paid for it.
Maybe someone looked up a game school like Digipen or a trade school like Full Sail. I know a number of people that have gone this route and gotten good jobs in the game industry (one of whom is a close friend and colleague at Stardock).
I suspect that Ross is your close friend and colleague from Digipen. What do I gotta do to become your close friend and colleague from Full Sail? Wanna hang out this weekend?
Ok guys. So I decided to buy GCII. Wish me luck!
Welcome! we hope you enjoy yourself.
As far as I know, a few things can cause that error message: - Either you don't have the most recent version of the game - or the person you are attempting to play against doesn't have the latest version of the game - or both.
I also have an Intel integrated graphics card...will that work?
depends on which one it is.
you forgot another, I hereby award Stardock and Ironclad the "You have parted me with my Money and made me like it and do it again" award, it is not awarded every year and generally only happens when a game is so good I buy it for one or more of my friends.
haha, nice.
Instead of waiting for the game to be digitally distributed on Impulse, why not buy it from paradox via it's gamersgate?
Because if he waits until it comes to Impulse (assuming it does), then it would only further encourage Paradox to put all their games up on Impulse. [e digicons][/e]
Cool. Glad to hear that more companies are starting to sign on. Awesome work, Impulse guys!
Now you just need to convince Shrapnelgames to publish their catalogue via Impulse as well
if you guys have ideas for more companies, it's cool to tell us at Stardock about it, but you should also go to the forums of those companies and let them know about Impulse there too. I can't hurt. The more we spread the word, the better!
we’re going with the approach that Valve pioneered
Blah. That's crap. Stardock was doing it first.
I almost never play games like these online.
GalCiv2 doesn't have online multiplayer. + You play against the AI in the campaign. Each expansion pack also has a campaign. + You can play custom game against any number of AI opponents and a bunch of other settings you can tweak. + You can also play a "metaverse" game which is basically a single player game where you finish it and then post your score to an online leaderboard.&nb
What specific error are you getting and when does it occur? The more details you can provide, the more likely we'll be able to give you quick instructions that lead to a fix of the problem.
awesome thread topic ID. Great work gathering all that info from the various places. I'm guessing by Spartan's comment that there are some others that have come out since you created the post...
I think it should be on a sticker right above the CD. Inside the case. To enter it in Impulse, open Impulse and click on the Blue Orb button in the upper left hand corner and choose Register a Product.. Then press the "Add Registration" button on the page that comes up.
Interviews are not in multiplayer, only when you play against the AI. So that is probably the issue. To play against the AI, create a match, choose your world settings and character, and then on the next screen you can either wait for someone to join or you can check the box for "Play against AI". Check that box and start the match. It should have interviews in it. Hope that helps.
Hrmm weird.. What version of the game are you running? If you don't know, you can find out by reading the first line of the Debug.err file (which can be opened with notepad). The file will be located here: "documents/my games/PolMachine2008/Debug.err". Replace "PolMachine2008" with "TPM2008Express" if you are playing the Express version. It will also show the version number in the bottom right hand corner when you run the game, but I'm not sure if it ha
I usually buy my games from GameStop because they have a large selection. But I only buy new copies of games that have been out for a while, so they are cheaper. I've also bought from stores such as Meijer, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc... I'm basically a sucker for a game that costs less than $20 when it used to retail for $50-$60 plus. Even when I buy my games from GameStop though, I always buy a NEW copy. Not a USED copy. I do this because the only pe
