no vista bootskin app yet but people have found ways of creating a bootskin for windows vista, just do a search on the net, you'll find it. It's a bit of an involved process though and since it involves alot of manual changes, no guarantee of a stable vista environment once you've performed the required changes.

even the taskbar in xp classic mode (all eye candy turned off) doesn't hide completely, there has to be some remnant of it available for the user to click on & expand again if necessary - I think it's the same idea in your example

your son's strength during his ordeal is a reflection of the great parents he has, you did a great job raising such a strong kid and you are allowed to vent as much as possible here or anywhere else for that matter.
