I feel old today
well if it's just today, you're doing ok, I think I feel old almost everyday!!! At your age though, you have to buy a decent sized cake to fit all those candles on - LOL Plus the heat from all those lit candles practically bakes the cake a 2nd time!!! OK, enough wisecracks at your expense, it is after all your birthday. Have a great birthday IR!!! <img src="smil
That's why I call you The Incredible Unc!
- just so long as you don't call me late for dinner!!!
this is an interesting thread so I think I'll drop my 0.02 cents, not as interesting a story as most posted here but it works... - before I became a parent, I became a godfather (cue the godfather movie music in the background) to my best friend's daughter and she affectionately calls me (to this date) "Uncle Rob". Very simple story but the name has stuck with me to this date and it works well as far as I can tell. - as for the pic/avatar, this part of the story has more sorro
I think there was already a vote on what type of skins people liked the most and Windowblind skins got the most votes.
- that may be true that wb skins are popular and probably the most popular type of skin on this site but don't discount bootskins, check out the download#'s in the bootskin section of this site, there is tons of activity on that page, alot of people like bootskins and the download#'s prove it. I'm sure the vista bootskin section when it gets created will
- this is pretty darn accurate, went through the process one time many years ago when our cat was sick, we found we had to have a 2nd person on hand to put a few drops of water in the cats mouth following the pill to force her to swallow (either that or rub her neck which the vet said were make her swallow - yeah right), otherwise she would just hack out the pill and we'd have to start all over again once we chased her down and were able to hold her in place for the next attempt.
welcome, a warning... this place is very addicting, once you're hooked you'll find you want more & more
Dude... or should I say... "Zub!" (pronounced Zoooob!) - you have some decent writing skills, have you written anything else, I wouldn't mind reading it if you're willing to share it. Nice job on that essay, I can see why it was chosen - it's good!
talking about self professed Masters that would try to sell their premium *cough* quality skins offsite.
care to pm me an example if you have time? - this topic is so interesting I'd love to see some of this.
If just anyone is allowed to advertise skins then the entire Master Skin concept falls apart. Shitty skins will be put up for sale and there is more ads on a site that I pay to get rid of. Brads screenshot of the day that has been up for well over a month is an ad in my opinion. Some people try to make screenshots to get a shot of the day. It is sort of disrespecting the community. It's an ad no matter how you try to spin it.
Well... master skinners aren't
Ah....marriage is a life sentence.....you only get 20 years for murder....
.... Jafo, you are a comedian, that was too funny!!! Congrats Buddhav10, all the best to you & your fiance!!!
There is a patch, which if you apply will get rid of the text altogether, I did try it once. I didn't like it, so I re-patch. If you interested, check this one out.. or google for it . Be reminded tho, patch at your own risk
- yes I would agree, this is the only way that I know of to remove the text from the bottom of the start panel for those options. But be cautious of this, I am personally always wary of patches that are required to perform t
Photoshop does tend to be the "de facto" standard (whatever de facto) means - I however love fireworks (macromedia), find it much easier to use than photoshop, I have both but I use fireworks 99% of the time. Imageready is great for the effects/filters you can apply to images. - If you have the knowledge required to use it, photoshop in the end is probably the best/most powerful tool for any type of graphic work. An e
640x480 would be the only resolution possible for bootskins as far as I know, take into account that bootskins are also limited to 16 colors, and you have to use the same 16 color palette for bkgrnd image & progress bar otherwise you'll see a corrupted bootskin image (ie. colors will end up all funky and not anything close to what you had wanted)
Congratulations to all!!!!
Pineapple & bacon/ham is quite good, as is black olives & mushroom (or black olive & bacon) but I'm still very much a pepperoni & mushroom pizza fan.
but I know that it is no good because a friend of mine has heated a frozen one in his toaster (as he doesn't have a oven) and after two minutes of toasting the cheese was really gluey and slow, which made the whole pizza sluggish.
whatever it was you put in that toaster, it was not a pizza. I would neve
the star trek phaser was actually a pretty cool toy when I was a very young boy back in the early 70's, a great product of the "science of the 70's", I was probably only 4 or 5, but it was super cool, it made sounds, lights, differently little plastic disk filters to put in front of the light so that you could project an image of klingon or starfleet ship on a wall in a dark room.... oh... those were the days...
The title moderator looks good on you Quentin, or should I say "Wizop Q"... I believe there is no end to your abilities - congrats my friend, you deserve it!!!
You mean I was supposed to be DRESSED on Thursdays?!?!?!?!?!?! Damn that skinhit.
Geez!!! Did he borrow your pants too, man that bugger never returns anything!!!
My Name is John.. and I am an addict.
Entire room replies back... "HI JOHN!" Hog, put some clothes on! You may get 5 stars on each of those wicked bootskins you make but you ain't gettin' 5 stars for standing naked in front of me! p.s..... nice tan lines
I'm trying to take each day as it comes
that's all anyone can really do. Just remember, you may have broad shoulders but you can't bear the weight of the world all on your own. We're human and we will experience pressure, problems & struggles but because we're human, we're also allowed to ask each other for help - that's what we're here for. And when you're stronger (and you will be, count on it!) and when we're weaker and we need help, you'll know the place where w
I have the same issue as described above - but it's a minor annoyance I can live with.
Hey V, what's the name of that skin, I saw the photoshop doc titled "executive frames" in your screenshot, is the new upcoming "Executive" class wb skin?
hey buddhav10, what wb is that, very nice!!!
Yet another awesome Suite given away free by a Master Skinner. Take *that* all you folks that say the masters are all about the money.
I agree, that should pretty much put an end to any of those arguments. Just another example of why Ross/Z71 is a great master skinner!!!
because WB Shareware is useless and no one will get a good idea of what it can do from that cutdown version
- I'm very curious as to what you mean by your statement. What is it that a person can't determine it will do from the shareware version? It applies windowblinds skins that are created by various wb skin authors? What else is it meant to do? I have used wb5.x for the longest amount of time and I've gotten everything out of it that I expected and I create wb skins
