I find that if I reload an autosave a few times I can guarantee that things will slow to a crawl, especially during combat. Gotta restart game to play properly.

'Cloak of Thorns' spell -> 25% of the damage down to the target... should read damage done to the target I guess
Just makes me want to know when the next GalCiv is coming
Just fyi, never seen an archive work either. Hope they can look into that, it cost me my OD programs last time my account expired.
Just looking over old posts, but geez people, get some reading comprehension and relax... I didn't come here to crap on Stardock software; those are Cletus' words, which I threw back. I was here to ask about, inform on and discuss some problems I had and I gave the best possible solutions I could come up with after two weeks of testing and research on my own behalf, none of this post bar the last paragraph was just off the bat. As to being posted in the wrong place, this start
So exactly what 'very high resoluton textures' are we talking about here? I can play Crysis on very high settings at 1920x1200 although with no AA and I'd like to see Sins push my system to the max too. When I recently started playing SupCom again I was suprised just how much better looking it is than Sins, with it's moving turrets and every unit having a shadow etc. and I'd like to see Sins at least equal it in graphics.
Correct, I have no interest in pre-paying for a game that could turn out to be pure fail. I know nothing about the game besides some screenshots that didn't really get me excited. Because of the companies involved I will keep an eye on development and play a demo as soon as one is released but that alone is no reason to believe that the game is worth buying at this early stage. I only buy the best of the best games if I consider something to be merely average I will pass thanks.
I have been having a problem with the 'WindowBlinds 6 ready, Vista ready, or both' filters. The filters work when I first click on them but as soon as I try to navigate to the next gallery page the filters no longer apply and the page refreshes so I get thrown back to the 300 odd pages of skins again. Basically I can only ever see the first of the filtered gallery pages making the option useless. Another thing I would like to see is Vista ready sorting for the IconPackager gall
Can't you just click on the recycle bin and hit delete on your keyboard? I can't remember if that is possible on XP but it works on Vista
On my Vista system my two MyColors themes have stuck the wallpapers in the Windows folder
The last few times I have installed IconPackager my Razer Diamondback control panel icon in the system tray loses it's icon, turns into a blank document icon. I have also seen a few icons in the all programs menu lose their icon. I have no idea what could cause this to happen but it's pretty weird
Same as Sins, I'll wait for a demo.
no... it should smoothly apply the skin you have chosen
What even before activating the product? Because all I had to do to fix my skinning problem was activate WB and after that the skins worked fine. Just asking cause the answer might be informative for others. I know this has no bearing on anyone elses posts because their products are already activated
10x?... Okay that's a little lofty to claim..Just 3x better would be nice though. Supcom runs like 1/3rd or 1/4th as good as sins. :x
SupCom runs just as well as Sins on my PC, I just wish Sins looked as good as SupCom. No way I'd buy that system linked above either, it comes loaded with bloatware and the parts are probably cheap as. Better off building your own anyday.
I can't see the video, has it been deleted or something?
I'm glad the work on IconPackager is ongoing since the latest version is the first time I've actually seen it work.
I had a similar problem just after installing WB. At the time my activations had run out and I couldn't apply any skins until Stardock reset them for me and I had activated WB. What I saw whenever I tried to apply a skin was the Windows Classic desktop. Don't know if this will help anyone or if that is how the program was suppose to work but there you go.
I have asked this question many times in the past and still get the same problem whenever I try to apply icon packs from stardock products. I no longer try to use icon packs at all but luckily you can change the settings in MyColors so that you can choose what parts of a theme activate when you apply it. Or you can install the theme and then apply just the skin from WindowBlinds if you have it.
When I try to apply the Quest theme, the skin doesn't show up. I just get a Windows Classic look though the other parts apply correctly. Also where can I dowload the Quest theme if I accidently delete it?
I heard they met in person, Brad got showed around the offices.
Lol, at first I read that as 'I heard they met in prison'
I'm hoping for some sort of organic species like the Tyranids, purely for the fact that they would make some awesome ship models and I'd like to see a huge fleet of living ships ingame.
Oh damn!...while writing this post I spilled hot coffee on my crotch!!!!!Hmm.. would you sue the coffee company for the hot coffee or the company that made your clothes for not making them thick enough to protect you from the hot coffee?
Both and you'd sue the guy who made you the coffee, for not putting a lid on it, and the people who made the table that must have been uneven spilling the coffee.
Why don't you read the thread, a link to impulse is posted just above. jeez
I'm thinking BS on that one. MS plan to have Windows 7 out by 2010 in any case.
I just hope that resetting to windows defaults actually works in this new version. I can't explain just how much trouble I have had trying to get of unwanted icons that IconPackager has left behind when changing back to windows defaults.
