(That is actually the viewpoint of many leading cosmologists and quantum physicists)
Just like when Darwin recanted his heretical teachings on his deathbed, and how most scientists agree Global Warming is a myth, right? Where do you get your information from? The National Enquirer, or Fox News?
Oh, it can answer the question. God is eternal (if only it would actually define the designer, which I admit is annoying). The problem with it is that God
Oh, Americans...I wish you people would stop worshiping the evil death god of the Bible.
To be fair, the Europeans made killing people over it a hobby long ago ;) As for the original topic, no, it can't. Because Intelligent Design, cutting to the heart, is answering questions with a question that they do not, cannot, and will not answer - what is this 'Intelligent Designer'? Where did it come from? And so forth. Science is, to put it extremely crudely, t

Yeah, I'd not want an organic ship. It'd be useful for certain interior parts as organics both typically are far more complex and smaller than mechanical equivalents, and they could heal, but have you seen what a bullet does to flesh? Seriously, I'll stick with metal. Plus there's the whole 'organic' part. Think 'War of the Worlds'. When someone figures out a disease and shoots it into your ship, you've pretty much lost the whole war.

I've never seen the AI treat trading with any intelligence at all. While the game AI is dynamic and extremely smart (mostly, it still works pretty poorly during war sometimes), the trading AI is extremely simplistic. It doesn't evaluate its position, the value of what it's getting, and how much it can benefit. I should be able to sell a planet to a planet-strapped civilization (ie: one of those suckers who gets trapped in a corner of space) for a LOT more than I could to someone who own
I turn off tech trading particularily in TA as I like to keep the flavor of the seperate tech trees.I think it makes for a more interesting game that way.
Aye, I've always thought the biggest limiter for tech trading should be that if you don't have the tech in your tech tree, you don't get to have it! Maybe there could be a couple exceptions, like Weather Control, but the price should be astronomical.

If Robert Altman, CEO of Bethesda, posted in person, he'd be assuaged with flames about how he ruined Elder Scrolls and fucked up Fallout. If the CEO of EA posted in person, he'd pretty much get the same treatment. Here, the CEO posts, and gets greeted, discusses his games, and is told he's the future savior of PC gaming :) Anyway, if I had to complain about GC2, it'd be: 1- The crappy UI. Honestly. It's terrible. 2- Tech tree is too 'linear' in terms of s
This is why an option to enable or leave it off would be nice, just like turning off Pirate Raids. Not sure how it would change Multi-Star System's really; you would phase jump to/from the star, so it would be the same method except for the movement of the plants.
Maybe we should have an option to play the game in a WW2 theme. Maybe we should have an option to make capital ships free. Maybe we should have an option to fly fighters in first person to hit

Frogboy, I play on the 'Challenging' setting, and I've noticed that certain AI's just always do better. Usually the influence-based AI's do far better than any other. I've noticed that in every game, the Korx, Iconians, and Arceans are almost completely inept. They need SERIOUS help. I've never seen them do anything except whine and get conquered. The Drath do 'okay', and the Drengin and Korath do pretty good (but the Korath don't abuse their super ability as much as they shoul

One thing I did notice is that Metaverse games, people manage to play on the hardest difficulty, but usually on: 1) Tiny maps 2) As Korath So it negates the AI's percentage advantage, and their race has such a ridiculously overpowered ability it evens the playing field overall. I would say yes, playing a real game on Suicidal is pretty much impossible without some form of 'metagaming' (ie: 'abusing' rules, like selling AI's planets deep in your influence just to fl
4. An ability to downgrade fleet logistics, maybe for free but takes time, and requires paying money again to upgrade. Haven't put much thought into it, but fleet logistics being too high will knock a player out who needs to recoup from a loss. It basically creates a snowballing effect.
Actually the best way to do this is to automatically step down logistics whenever your fleet level drops below the threshold. So, let's say I'm only using 500 supply, but I have 2
I wouldn't doubt if these consoles over power some of your very own PC's.

I dont even see how some of you can sit there and boast and brag about a PC you own thats running on a weak @$$ OS. Windows is one of the worst OS's out there and you want to try to place above a Linux/Unix based OS (PS3)?
Consoles are more powerful than PCs? Dual-booting is a myth? If your shareholders heard you talk like this they'd sell in a heartbeat, as anything run by someone
Wow... Um it was PRETTY, but uh... "Smarter" than most console games? With its OMG KOREANS AND ALIENS! story? I think there is a long list of games that started thier existance on consoles that might take offence to such a statement.
Did you even play Crysis? I'm sure your experience with shooters is limited to the corridor-crawling of Gears of War and Halo, but they've never had a game like Crysis. Go ahead and drop a name if you can. Besides it's testa
