Well I didn't get the Eee PC...but I did get a netbook, the Mini 9 from Dell! Just got it in today, but I'm at work so I couldn't connect to the internet with it, just did the Windows setup and poked around to see what was on there. Of course, Dell loaded too much junk, so I uninstalled some things already. [e digicons]:grin:[/e] It's really nifty! I am having the same issues using IE7. I logged out and cleared all cookies and temp internet files, then closed the browser window and opened new one, then logged back in (front page), no ads on the main page, but going to the forum and logging in (again) I still see ads...no matter what page in the forum I visit. The ads are going even though it shows me as logged in. I was able to clear cookies and re-login in FF3, with no ads. Edit: nevermind...I just went back to IE

Hey, thanks for the review! The XP version comes with (I think) 12 GB storage, which isn't much considering there will be lots of updates to add to the base install. I also read somewhere that, for some reason, the XP version has the drive partitioned...possibly with Linux. I like the size and weight though, since I would really just want to use it when I travel for work, to check email, messenger, and do some light web browsing. My current laptop is a Dell Inspiron with 15.4" screen, but it's a

I work day and evening shifts. My workstation consists of three graphics and one text monitors (19" I think) running Linux (Fedora?). The graphics monitors are connected to one box/keyboard/mouse and the text station is connected to its own box/keyboard/mouse. Those are on a data only network (regional and national) so no (real) internet browsing there...although most of the default apps have been installed. The last system (far right) is the PC, which has email, browsers, antiquated Office vers

I've been using Trillian Pro daily for years, and love it! I used to have problems with file xfers but that was fixed at some point. I got "invited" for the beta testing but decided to just wait it out. I'm looking forward to the final release, whenever that might be. :D

I can finally say I have updated my Vista rig to SP1...not without issues either. Everything seems to be okay now, except for BitDefender has a firewall driver that SP1 does not like, so it keeps reminding me that it is being blocked. :NOTSURE:

I was able to upload an image to my photo album just now, using my laptop (XP Pro w/IE7). The problem on the desktop might have to do with the ActiveX plugin being used. I'll try again from the desktop. Thanks Seabass.
