Reply to Have You Updated to Vista SP1? in Personal Computing WinCustomize Forums

I just got a dozen updates through auto update...not sure if any were part of SP1. Initially, 4 installed and 8 failed. After checking MS newsgroups, I tried one of the posted fixes and it worked, was able to finish installing all updates. Is SP1 made up of more than one update, and will it say "SP1" in the description?

BitDefender AV 2008 ($24.95) has a Gamer Mode option that "Provides a smooth gaming experience by reducing the system load to a minimum". Some of the other brands mentioned above might also have something similar.

I've done some photo restorations as well...I have a whole storage bin full of (very) old family photos, just not enough time to work on them. Many of them have been damaged by moisture and humidity. :NOTSURE: Other than that, I like making fractals. :D

I only had MS Word 2003, then I started using Office 2007 when they had the public beta. I liked it so much that I bought the Small Business Suite when they released it, mainly to get both Word and Publisher. I haven't used the other apps, other than Word and Publisher, but I'm very happy with them. I am using Publisher more often these days. :CONGRAT:

Thanks for your replies, and the wiki link (keep forgetting about that). I sent DS-CUSTOMZ an email a long time ago, asking if he was planning to update the skin. He did reply, and if I remember correctly, he said something like he was planning to. I'll try emailing again, if the email is still valid. Oh, and I was definitely NOT intending to upload anything *if* I can manage to do this, since it probably wouldn't be good enough for general consumption. ;p Thanks again guys E

Updating a very old WB skin in WindowBlinds WinCustomize Forums

I have a favorite WB skin (Juice) that was created in 2002, but I would like to update it in Skin Studio, for my own personal use. I have never created a WB skin, so this is all new to me. Can anyone point me to an tutorials about updating a skin? I'm pretty sure that additional graphics will be needed, so how does one go about creating new graphics to match elements from the older one, considering it was created by someone else? I don't (yet) have the newest SS downloaded, but
