Only regarding wasps Dont think most people here belive the gangstahoods and Chinatowns have any more in common with eachother than with dr Frasier in Boston. Seriously though,,the European countries are far more diversed in both language and culture than the states of USA. Simple truth is that a New Yorker have more in common with a Califorian than a Finn have with a French. Whil
Only looked around,,noticing your reputation and what grounds it might have. Things like "illiterate fraktard" and "loser" are not *that* uncommon. None of them towards me,,which is the reason I kept the statment about flaming general rather than going against a specific person. As for your view of Europeans,,I should point out that it makes as much sense bunching us all together into a homogene group as regarding everything from the polar escimoos down to the Latino states as a
their insane tactics and rational are _very_ useful against my opponents in GC2. Going for the wrong target,,for the wrong reasons,,in order to ensure massive support for the *real* target,,while making dayly life less safe and generally complicate people's lives (ever tried to fly commercal recent days:p) a useful strategy? Sorry,,but my wea
Duly noted (albeit it's International politics rather than just American). Perhaps you can provide with a better example that is as well known yet less infected?
That did not work for me when experiencing the exact same problems. (Nor did I have any space problems unless of course the ~250Mb expansion somehow manages to come in a package >8Gb lol) It does seem like a server problem on the Stardock side,,possibly from having too many people connected at the same time. My solution was trying again day and a half later,,when most of USA were supposed to be asleep <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN=
Special? Contrary to "popular" belief,,most participants in the Special Olympics suffers from *physical* handicaps,,not mental ones. 10 years per game? All good on every game? That would depend on the style of play,,would it not? Myself,,I run huge galaxies without cheesing the starting positions. That means I challenge my ability
Hehehe,,I know what you mean... Sending those 80+ speed freighters taks a LONG time.
Actually,,it's not the first generation ships that are to be scrapped as they provide inexpensive defence against enemy transports/serves to delay enemy invasion fleet (see the ongoing discussions about keeping ships in orbit) with very low maintence costs. Instead,,it's the midrange ships that chokes the AI's economy. They have no advantage over the low maintence ships from a strategic point of view,,but still requires maintence levels on par with the front line ships. One
Done all the teching,,so here is what I got: Constructor- 23 speed; 2,7 range Constructor+ 77 speed; 9,5 range (Sidenote: my tradeships does 82 per turn) Never bother with a midrange construcor. Either my - can reach it within three turns,,or I build a + instead.
Soon done with my first Metaverse game ever!
The problem isn't that the AI accepts the gifts,,but that it's unable to correct it's expenses properly.
Just to clarify,,the trade ship will recive bonuses from each area of effect it under influence of,,but will not keep the bonus once the AoE is departed from.
Version 1.4 Civ Managment screen > Governour > Ship Rally point When selecting "None" and updating to a user defined rally point,,all star bases are given movement orders as well. Out of 8 civs getting anhilliated, only Drath showed up surrendering to Thalan in the GNN. (Not certain how to classify the peace treaty I made with the Torians,,which included their remaining two planets)
Most have been covered already,,like the Ship management screen and the diplomatic optin Threat,,but here is my contribution: Star bases: A repair module, either permanently installed to increase the repair rate of the base or a one time boost of say,,20 hp. Move the Speed enhancing modules from Military to General like the Sensor modules. (Perhaps make them boost ALL ships in the vicinity instead of just the players?) Interface: A button to disable th
Just pulling a leg lol
Let us first of all define the difference between tactical and strategic combat. Tactics are used to engage and defeat an enemy formation on the battlefield through the use of terrain,,protection,,firepower and manouvre. Your strategy determins where,,when and with what to battle in order to win the war. Currently,,the only tactical decision to make are the composition of forces (the number of ships and how they are to be equipped). We cannot effect the o
'hunter' ships that will only fight unarmed enemies. Now that's food for thought... Have to look into if you just tipped me off of a "LongRange Raider" replacement. Quite useful unless UP has banned attacking tradeships lol
While I agree that defenders are a good thing to have,,my approach is a bit different. Well,,first of all,,I only play on big maps,,and I never bothered playing anything below Tough (Hey,,I had to learn the interface and stuff in my first game!). That means you will most likely NOT be able to secure your borders,,especially not one HyperWarp is commonplace tech (for instance,,my own transports usually do at least 40). Since all plantes needs to be protected against surprise
Sent two exception logs today. Hopefully they contain some useful info.
Cargo hulls costs 55,,while tiny cost 35... Why use cargo hulls?

Luck is a mysterious under-the-hood advantage that can help you at various points throughout the game. It can improve the chances of a critical hit in combat or reduce the odds of getting a negative random event.
