I've read some of the rules, looked at all the pieces, and played one turn, but just could find the time to actually play a game. It was during SINS development of course [e digicons]:|[/e] Looks very interesting and a great presentation.

What do you recommend we do to resolve the piracy problem, beyond rewarding legitimate customers? I am interested in hearing different alternatives.
9 programmers? Sorry less than that ;P We are as anxious as anyone to get this out, but these are some major changes and they require time. We are happy to provide a lot of new content for free, but we also need to plan ahead so we are sustainable as well.
It is just that puzzles me that such a great game is not receiving attention from developers and publishers where it needs to receive it!?!?!
I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you haven't read the last change list.
Thanks guys! It's nice to read this during crunch time ;)
The TEC are the only race with Large mines ;)
You'll like Entrenchment then shipmaster_voro :)
Do I need to be an American to understand this one? I am thoroughly confused...or I have no sense of humour.
"Considering Sins is 'half' RTS, we dabbled with the idea of an RTS narrative to help carry the game's deep lore. The reason we turned down a campaign was simple: We had limited resources and were forced to decide between creating A: a title with strong gameplay, a solid engine, and great replay value, or B: a title with average gameplay, a rushed campaign and very little replay value. 'A' seemed the obvious choice to us at the time." If you want to call this bragging about leaving pa
" I remember reading how a dev bragged that they had "left out" some parts to the game so they could focus on a single aspect. " Is that so? You mind linking this one up for me?
Hehe...the one we zoomed in on? :P
I think the scale of objects should be fixed. Now I know many people asked for this in seperate threads but I though I might as well add this in here as Stardock and Ironclad may look at my ideas and read this as well, maybe reminding them this is something lot's of people want. Preferebly planets now should be the size of a gas giant, gas giant the size of a star and stars should be maybe 2x the current size. Ship speeds could be increased to balance the equation so customers are happ

Hi Teal, you're welcome! There will be some new modding avenues opening up with our first expansion, Entrenchment.
You can already have ring planets :)
So much for the bill of rights carp they supposedly adhere to.. typical arrogant yank behaviour. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] I guess if I want to play Stardock games going forward I will have to find other sources for them. [e digicons]}:)[/e] First of all Stardock is not setting the price in the UK. Second, have you completely forgot about Ironclad, the developer who made the game? (Canadian by the way)
Yes, you will be able to name/rename your starbases [e digicons][/e]
Entrenchment will feature new planet bonuses and more importantly, unique bonuses for non-colonizable areas that will add much more variety to your exploration.
It is a KOL Battleship - it's sideways lean and projection is supposed to represent the last stand of a falling empire.
Hehe...yeah, that was a funny one. The recording was live, and I was trying to focus on a fighter, but they kept exploding on me :)
How about less pirate attacks so you can actually concentrate on building an empire.
How about no pirates? You currently have the option to turn them off completely.
" had cap for the amount of visual point things for a weapon and that limit 10?" The limit no longer exists for Starbases.
Entrenchment will provide a number of new tactical defensive strategies :)
Hey Guys, Reporting from LA here... Can't wait to get home and polish this off! By the way, system specs will remain the same despite all the new features and content!
