Ticket with support tool created #LBQ-485-10503 Game continues to freeze when attempting to move one of my huge war ships to kill off the pirates. I've reproduced it numerous times using the save game I have included in the ticket. Hopefully this helps track this bug down so we can continue to have a more stable game going forward. On a side note I still have not been able to complete an insane game with 75+ AI as to this po
Well, I didn't like doing all the micromanagement that you had to do.
There is still a lot of micro management, however, it's getting better, especially with patch 1.7 and the new constructor/star base improvements.
I'm wondering if things has been improved since then?
I complain too much so, don't read any of my forum posts. Really I just knit pick because I want this game to be the best that it can be. With that being said I continue to play the game and enjoy it. If there is something that you are looking to have improved or "fixed" I suggest you make those issues known so Stardock can be aware of where areas of improvement can be made.
You need to cap metals, not radioactives, first. You need to cap them with your starting engineer too. The best strategy at present is probably to build your factory at the metal point, in range of capping it while you do. The game loads, you move your engineer and click in a second one, not a whole lot of alternative here. You should be able to fund two factories right off the bat as long as you expand properly fast.<
So I've played a few skirmish games as well as two ranked MP games and I can't understand why am I so far behind everyone. The one player I played against in multiplayer tried to explain to me about tech lab but, didn't completely understand what he was saying as the game ended prior to that. I've always been playing PHC is this faction weak or slow? I start off by building the building that allows me to create military units and start pumping out 6 at a
Hopefully SD will add an option in to keep the 2 new races but opt out of the mercs system.
Opt out of the bazaar and mercs, yes I think they should allow you just to turn this option off. I always play with them on and, disabling the expansion would disable the factions as well. I'm surprised this wasn't added yet. Great suggestion.
Exploration treaties are mutual? I guess I have to re-check if I get the chance to continue our current game in the evening - last time, I negotiated an exploration treaty with an AI living in largely unexplored territory, and it didn't seem to do anything for me - more than half of their realm is still covered.
I've noticed that when your survey vessel goes into another race's territory you get a diplo penalty from it. It can even tip the balance and make a race dislike you. Anyone else think survey vessels shouldn't have a diplo penalty, only military ships in another race's territory?
This has to do with if player A has an open border arrangement with player B, if you get this arrangement this diplo penalty should go away.
I've always been confused by this as well. As far as I can tell the technology alliance, military alliance and cultural alliance don't do anything. The exploration treaty is mutual, but in trade the AI acts as if it is not and will trade a large amount of credits if you offer it and demand a large amount of credits if you ask for it.
Essentially their reviewer condemns the expansion for breaking the core premise of GalCiv -- they skip the normal means of acquiring a ship (developing the tech you need, designing and building it) by providing a must-have nuclear option for getting ships that overpower non-merc ships and have powerful bonuses to boot, making researching techs and designing ships all but useless
It does this to a point, however, once a player starts to research various te
There's atleast one thing that is/was in GalCiv 2 that's not in 3, and that is espionage. Is there any reason it was not implemented?
Espionage was added in Galactic Civilizations II as an expansion and that it will be in Galactic Civilizations III as well.
The reason I'm not sure is because aquatic is kind of powerful.
I disagree, I feel that aquatic is kind of weak, and the adaptable trait is better.
Here is my observations after getting 1.7 to be playable with my existing 1.61 game. First off it took a good half hour to forty-five minutes to manually go through all 250 star bases and turn off auto upgrade so it didn't lock up and become horribly laggy, in which I did miss a few, I guess I'll have to deal with it. This could just be added to previous posts but, here is yet another. <
I wrote a ticket to SD support because we frequently encounter the "stuck turn" issue in multiplayer games (roughly once every 2 hours). In their reply, the recommended to install the 1.7 Beta patch. I've checked the changelog in the forum and didn't find any entry concerning the stuck turn issue. Is there such a fix in this patch, or was this just copy-paste advice like "oh well, if you have any issues, maybe install some patch or update some driver"?
Why does the benchmark test show my system having dx 11 when dxdiag clearly shows I have dx 12? I know the game runs much smoother prior to my upgrading to Windows 10 and getting dx 12. Maybe someone can help me out with this as I'm sure I'm just misunderstanding something. Also is there a place we can compare our benchmarks?
