Even a simple action fails. Create, New Object, New Script... It crashes. Tried uninstalling DesktopX then reinstalling but no luck. Version = 3.20.044 I'm a full Object Desktop Subscriber. Can anyone help?

The simple explanation is that an animated desktop is quite annoying, some of us actually do serious work on our computers you know. Now an interesting screen-saver makes sense because you are clearly not using your computer at the time but when I'm concentrating hard on object life-cycles/access in a multi-threaded C++ program I need to be concentrating on what I'm doing! Microsoft should be concentrating on improving the value of some of their core tools.
This may seem minor but its niggling. After a reboot my widgets start-up but don't display on the desktop until I just click on the taskbar icon once. Eg Vista Clock This started happening after I installed .NET 2 Any ideas?
I'd like a "Post-it Note" widget thingy that works properly. I have found one that looks good but it looses the notes when you reboot, even the font settings reset. Aesthetics are important too, it should look a looks like a real note. Unless someone can point me to one that works properly?
