Is it possible to exclude an application from being skinned but also select another sub theme. i.e. such as the default Xp theme. This question is really about One Note, with the WhiteFlame Vista skin I loose all the office texturing of the toolbars which makes it difficult to read

Yep I'm backing cavalierex on that one. I've just discovered One Note myself and its bloody marvellous, the best Microsoft have done in an age. In 2007 it can search image file text which is a big boost. The whole 2007 set is a good improvement on past efforts. Just a shame they made such a dogs-dinner of the new interface, I mean I like the ribbon but its implementation is a bit patchy and didn't make it to One Note at all.

Dear me, I'm surprised you fell for it. Microsoft have pulled this manoeuvre before with Windows 95/98. Always look to what the business buys in. I'll be sticking with Xp Pro until Longhorn or the next OS arrives, this Vista is clearly a half-way house and cash cow. My wallet feels enough pain with the Dev Studio and Office upgrades as it is and I need those for my work - you know making money for me and not Billy boy. P.S. Office 2007 + One Note is very good IMHO.<br/
I have a problem with task switching in WindowsFx. When I map it to the [Alt-Tab] keys I get the original Windows switcher, not the WindowsFx switcher. I can map it to other keys

No need to do that chaps, I have found a better solution... I recommend downloading "Console" from sourceforge : http://sourceforge.net/projects/console/ This will skin like any other application window and even includes alpha-transparency, I have also configured mine to run the Cygwin bash shell in its main window as I'm a bit of a *NIX nut but you can also run Powershell or Dos.
View -> Tiles. Works on a per-directory setting.
It’s the price that's the killer , its way too expensive and delivers too little extra to even closely justify it. Considering the market share MS should really be offering it far cheaper to the home user. I need to upgrade my "Office" and that will have to be the priority because it delivers things I need - even so its too expensive as well. Everyone I know says these are their reasons.
