[quote who="Zoomba" reply="14" id="2010025"] And honestly, I feel one of the single largest barriers to getting games onto Linux is support. Feedback: Not quite "Phase 3" specific, but I've been wanting to see two dates tracked in Impulse for products: 1) Date available through Impulse (which we have) 2) Date game/app was originally released (which we don't). Steam tracks the original release date. It's useful information for me as I browse because at a glance I can gauge what kind of tech to expect, e.g., determine the relative quality of graphics. Screenshots don't always provide
I like the basics. You know, classic staples of prestidigitation, such as: Fireball Magic Missle Mordenkainen's Illustrious Illusion of Effluvium (a.k.a. "Shit Storm")
If the back-story for the official races/factions are that well developed to require a name generator, that's probably a good sign. If such an animal is implemented, I would like to see it exposed to the modding community who may wish to plug in their own name constructors for any custom created races/factions.
[quote]It's never a good idea to explicitly wish for a single source. Some people in the comments area have said "Of course no one wants a monopoly". I bought a Civ III compilation a while back from D2D. It was my first digital distribution game purchase. I've held off on them for any other purchases for the following reasons: * Patches and content updates released after the version you've purchased for the games I bought or was looking to buy were either very delayed, on the order of *months* (or in the case of Civ III, never materialized afaik). * User created content, mods, and addons may not be compatible wi

The most interesting feature displayed in the shot is the cave entrance just 'north' of the town walls. The explorer in me wants to find out what's inside. re: I agree that having the crop fields within the walls is odd. Aesthetics aside, from a gameplay standpoint I'm curious about that strictly because I'm leaning towards a preference of having such resource nodes (if that's the purpose they serve) outside of the walls and (theoretically) more vulnerable
This is a minor 'issue', but for myself, on the PC that I have Fences installed on, I'm primary user. I have 2 user accounts I use for different purposes (one is for system admin and troubleshooting, the other is for general usage). I have 3 other accounts for other members for the household that are used rarely. Games, most applications and utilities, do not get setup on my admin account or on the user accounts associated with the rest of the household. So
I don't have a direct answer to your questions. I do have a follow-up question that might impact multi-monitor setups however. There is an option to store fence scale/size/position separately, depending upon desktop resolution. This is disabled by default. If enabled, and you switch resolutions, the fences will scale automatically to 'fit' the current resolution - and when you switch back to the prior resolution, the fences should snap back to prior scale and positio

I ctrl+esc (common) or alt+tab (rare) fairly frequently, in order to flip to another app (usually a web browser). Assuming this auto-save option is an option, I'd be ok with it - but I would certainly disable it. Because I don't want hard disks thrashing while I try to switch over to the other app.

I'm ambivalent about random events. Sometimes they're fun and sometimes they're not fun and get annoying, Check box toggle off/on, or slider frequency control from Off to Frequent works best for me.
Pretty sure a 3 foot rise would screw Florida. Probably Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn, too. New Orleans would have to start over. Again. Doesn't take much in coastal areas.
Some of the roles overlap in functionality (Supporters and Augmenters). A couple might be too narrowly-defined (Mage Killer, Diviner) to be worthwhile unless very cheap to get. Whether that is good or bad (or not an issue) I have no idea yet - and won't until we have more info about actual gameplay. For sake of discussion, let's say having overlapping roles or magic schools was just horrible and we absolutely had to avoid it. In that instance, I'd probably reduce t
