There are quite a few people out there with low end DSL connection for example who have very limited upload bandwidth, and they can only play with 3 other people (2v2) and nothing more. Those people who said, that you wouldn't have been able to get into the lobby due to insufficient upload bandwidth do not know what the are talking about . Also this ha

I make builds too of course for fun, but I never use them in a competive match because I know it would lose. You need to keep yourself dynamic and open, not confined to a single build that your friend came up with, won only 2 matches with, and now thinks is the best build ever. I think you should rephrase your thread title to "universal builds are stupid" because "builds are
I am having the same problem only, it happens on 3 vs 3 or higher. 2 vs 2 I play just fine. So I hope it isn't a case of just needing a faster internet connection.
If you see me online or add me as a friend, I'll help you guys get started and we'll play some custom practice games for getting newer players acquianted. This goes for anyone, just add me and we'll set up some newbie training ground games.

I agree, just keep your head up and find other players to play. There are some great players out there who are not assholes, just be on the look out. And I agree, the AI is not good practice. Just keep playing online games and building your skills up as well as learning from other players. If you want, you can add me to your Impulse friendlist and I'll help you out with the game. I wouldn't consider myself a pro or anything but I am moderately good and do have a fairly decent grasp of the gam

Just to clarify, I understand how P2P works. The slowest user drags everyone else to his/her level. And everytime (in 3 vs 3 or higher only) it's usually me, but when I play 2 vs 2 it is completly fine and have a nice strong connection with everyone.
Okay, just to clarify, 2 vs 2, works perfectly fine for me. But 3 vs 3 doesn't. I can go into a lobby with 5 other players and we connect fast and just fine with decent pings. I don't understand how I can connect fast, have good pings in the lobby, but as soon as the 3 vs 3 match starts my pings shoot up to like 3000 with every player... everyone then ends up bitching at me about "lying about my ping" and so forth. I've assumed now, that when you enter a game itself it t
I see a lot of threads about people complaining about quitters as well as people who just openly admit that they lost and then quit anyways, leaving the winning team to fight AIs.... and rightfully so. This is obviously very annoying, but why don't we think a bit about how this can be rectified? I have some ideas that maybe could help fix the flow of the game. As you all know, for the most part, once the winning team has reached a crucial point in Domination, Conquest, and Fortress mo
I think what needs to be done is to quit rewarding the winning team for the sake of balance. They need to make Domination mode with flags that debuff you, have longer cooldowns, slow health regen, etc. By having to to suffer all these consequences to win Domination mode, it makes attaining the win so much harder, whilst giving the losing team an immediate and effective advantage, without breaking gameplay. It would make matches more competive to have flags that hinder you in domination rather

Is it not prudent to, once you understand what is needed in a game (e.g. DPS, support, pushing, mobility, w/e) have a proven (or at least practiced) strategy for fufilling the role you set for yourself? If you would like to see some excellent AI in action that does not cheat, play Galactic Civilization 2. Very impressive AI at harder levels. I'm not saying it's the greatest or that it doesn't have any kind of flaw, but from my experience, the AI continually challenges you and demands you to think to win. Give it a shot, and just in case you somehow don't know, it is developed by Stardock.
[quote who="Aroddo" reply="15" id="2189784"]I agree with the OP. Builds don't work in demigod like they work in, say, World of Warcraft or Diablo 2. You have to be able to adapt to your opponents or the particular objectives of your current match. Having said that, I think it makes sense to start with a certain baseline which allows you do swing one way or another without sacrificing strength. I tried to accomodate these realities in my Oak guide, where I take
OP you're a fucking idiot. So you got a problem with Americans? Care to give me an intelligent, thoughtful post as to why? Erm, judging by your previous posts and your creepy, stalkerish OP, I must say that probably isn't possible. You've even got people from other countries bashing you, it isn't just Americans. Hate mongering, ignorant people like you just need to die. You seem to have a lot of unjustified hate inside for homosexuals, americans, and maybe even women. Are you

Of *course* they are situational and not meant to be viewed as static. That doesn't mean there isn't a benefit in documenting and understanding opening moves in order to appreciate why certain moves are good and others are bad. Just like in chess, there are well understood chess openings that are documented and copied. The best chess players

I still haven't really come across skilled Qot or Sedna players. I've never had a problem with them. If you feel like you can't take them on, don't worry about them. Focus on creep killing, flag capturing, destroying structure, citadel upgrades, lane dominance, paving a pathway for creeps to hit citadel, supporting your teammates, etc etc etc. Just don't worry about them. Focus on the objective. If you're playing slaughter, double team them or focus on their teammates.... not really a big dea
I kinda hope people stop with this "build" nonsense, it's misleading. What might be effective for one game, WILL NOT be effective for another game. The trick is to train yourself to analyze the other team and to think ahead of everyone else... planning out your course of action and acquiring skills and items accordingly. You need to look at what game mode you're playing, what DGs the enemy are using, as well as what DGs your teammates are using. Creating a static build is not somethin
Reg unlike the Team Fortress sniper, is not capable of one hit kills or head shots. He is more of a harrasser and finisher... it's not really sniping. He's also great for protecting his teammates... a shot from regulus can quickly turn the battle for a teammate engaged with an enemy demigod.
Actually... use Avast. It's also free and has far more features than AVG has. You can find it on Download.com. I use to use AVG but stopped because of the false positives and resource hogging, atm, I think Avast is the best. Try it out.
