I just wanted to make a thread to clear up a lot of peoples misconpetions on the items and game, and how what they are seeing are items and not cheating. I was also taken back by how many "cheater" threads are

Just use Xfire. Sheesh.
Well made post. However, you're being naive. It is definitely time for you to upgrade your graphics card. I honestly I don't know how you could enjoy playing Fallout 3 with a card like that. Makes my eyes hurt just thinking about it. All I can say is, it's definitely time for you to upgrade. I'd recommend an ATI 4770. It is only a 100 bucks but is more powerful than cards 40-50 bucks more expensive. And paired with another 4770 in crossfire, it is the most powerful set up you can get

I always anticipate mines from a regulus but I only manage to escape 20% of the time. Most of the time people just soak up the damage. A skill that definately needs some kind of tweak as there is no reason to take
They are not easy to dodge. When reg throws them on your feet you can do nothing but watch them explode as you move.
I have dodged it many times... If you notice, the mines don't explode IMMEDIATELY. You have like 1-2 seconds to get out just in time. Yes, it's hard, and yes you have to be quick, but eventually you'll get use to it. Then it is just a matter of closing the gap, and raping. And if you really want to be good, mov
Wow. Serious URL redirect?
lol Good one Tiduz... I was pretty certain you were kidding. You seemed to cool to be whining. haha
It won't matter to lose favor points after they've already acquired all of the favor items they need. Hell, they may already have so much favor points they don't even care. It wouldn't work. Sorry.
I agree that a better UI is needed. However, your best option at the moment is to play as each of the Demigods that are giving you trouble online. That way you can explore their capabilities and learn how to face them using your favorite Demigod. And you never know, you may end up finding a new fave Demigod. This worked really well for me, because now that I understand what each demigod is capable of doing, I know how to counter them more effectively.
Buy it. Amazing game. However, don't buy it if your computer isn't up to snuff. At it's highest settings, it is easily one of the most visually stimulating and amazing games created yet. Crank up your settings, play a naval battle, and feel your jaw drop. Part of the games appeal is it's massive battles and if you can't experience that to a great extent... you are kinda taking out part of what makes this game great. It's a great game, I personally don't regret buying the game
I come onto the Demigod forums to get my daily dose of Demigod news and community interaction when I see atleast 4-5 (I think) "Cheater" threads all on top of eachother. Look. 1. This is a P2P (with extra coding/software thrown in to prevent cheating) game. Any touching of the code causes a desync as not everybody would be using the same code. So right there, a hack couldn't be possible. 2. Over the course of Demigods history so far, players have been getting use to al
Now that everybody has explored the Demigod's skills and abilites, people are starting to test out the items... I bet 9/10 of these "OMG cheater" threads are simply a result of someone experimenting or using an item the whining player has never seen or used before. Explore people... check out as many combinations as you possibly can.
It's fairly easy to dodge. Just watch where he places it, back up, and then go around them. Once you close the distance, he is screwed. Reg is a glass cannon. He will not win in a one on one confrontation in which he is being attacked. If you can't reach him... heh... well... that's another story.
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.... sigh. This is sounding like the game I've dreamed of making/playing. Strategy games need more personality and involvement. I absolutely cannot wait to play this game. Looks amazing. My preorder is already in and I look forward to contributing to the beta program. This, from what has been shown so far, is already making it sound like it could be the most epic game ever made. KEEP IT UP GUYS/GALS!
No. Regulus is extremely weak early game and late game. You need to revise your strategy. He is a glass cannon. If you want to talk about "cheap" characters, look at UB. But regardless, I think the game is now fairly balanced aside from Erebus, who's nerfed seems to have really helped the flow of the game. I use to complain about Unclean Beast, but now that I have played as him, and revised my strategy, he is no longer usually a threat.<br
I play my Erebus with all 3 idols(although I occasionally skip minotaurs), and my DPS ends up fairly insane. With minimal equipment(read: Nothing but Vlemish Helm), I overpower most enemies easily. I don't use shamblers that much, but I've begun to show a little more appreciation for them.
"Overpower" is a dirty word around here, might want to re-word that. XD
You have to remember that Impulse isn't JUST a multiplayer matchmaking/community utility. It is more of a"digital store" WITH community aspects, WITH multiplayer functionality, WITH auto patching. It did not start out as primarily a matchmaking utility, as battle.net did. You have to remember that. I agree that they should've had more features at launch considering what year it is, but regardless, it is first and foremost an autopatch, digital store, and multi purpose community utilit

Some one wrote something about waiting for windows 7 to release with direct x11, will that be anytime soon and do you think the price of the 4770 drop? As for the rest of my specs im kinda bad with computers so heres what
Colonization was priced as an expansion (although it is standalone). I found it 'quite' addictive and fun but not 'that' addictive and fun. Its a perfectly reasonable remake of a classic strategy game IMO. Not a patch on real Civ 4 and GalCiv though.
At first I thought it was neat, but after about 30 hours or so, it just got repetitive, in my opinion of course.
It's also keeping track of anything and everything you ever search, which, by the governments authority, can be released at anytime. Oh, not to mention that they sell this information to anyone and everyone willing to buy it. No thanks.
To be honest OP, I wasn't too fond of Colonization. It got boring quick and very repetitive. Obviously this is just my opinion and therefore only counts as much as an individual si willing to count it, but there it is. I clocked about 20-30 hours into the game and then stopped. Pros: Decent graphics, decent economy system. Cons: Gets very repetitive managing your people and shipping stuff from Europe. Not much content. "Feels" like a Civ mod, not an actual full fledge

Two 4770's = 220 bucks. A GTX280 is 350 bucks. Guess which one is more powerful, runs cooler, and is better price for performance? Yep, I was shocked too. Get dual 4770's. You can't go wrong. Not only is it cooler than a Gtx280, it also runs quieter, uses less power, and is more powerful. A
