Hey mate, read the comment by Craig - that should clear it up (i.e. that this problem isn't specific to Australia). Otherwise, enjoy the game!

*shrug* you just don't get it, do you? A perceived lack of insults is just stupid, and you know it. But I don't expect you to understand. I suppose it comes with experience. But if you don't see any insults, then what discussing? Why not mourn Gilly's test retirement? :P Or maybe the end of a very long drought in Australia? Much better topics.

:) I hope this isn't going to turn into an insult match. You must like school. Anyone that argues on personal terms is clearly not able to argue logically. Can we move on, now that this is settled?

There is a forum discussion on this idea. See it at https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=440&aid=174216#1439785 It seems to be generally agreed that nothing can or will be done about this issue at this time, due to several restraints, some of which would be re-doing the meshes for those ships, and adding compliancy for lower-spec machines. It's all in that discussion. Enjoy the game!

:P Well, I'm glad you're not arguing with me. Seems you finally got the point. I won't say more on this (apart from this :P ) but the reason I got so angry was because it was three times in a row that you didn't understand what I was saying. It almost leads me to think that now, since you've lost the argument, you're trying to keep some face by laughing at me. Well, I guess we can laugh at each other then :P Can't help you with the port, I'm afraid... let's wait for the update.
Maybe if you weren't a douche and had a point besides "I've played longer than you, so I'm right. Oh and you're all clueless idiots."
I don't think you quite understand what Schod's point is; he says that we should wait a bit longer before calling a nerf. By "everyone needing a bit of experience", he meant that we should play the game a bit longer, himself included, seeing that it's only been out a couple of days. Beta experience doesn't come into it because (apparently) there

I agree with Schod; wait a week and we'll see then. I think a planetary shield would be integral to the TEC playing style, but not to the game. What do you think?

The idea is not to spam in this game. It's supposed to be designed towards combined arms strategies. Considering the dedication to their game, IC designed it such that you should probably go with the balanced force. There isn't supposed to be a paper rock scissors, though there are obvious counters such as the flak frigate against strikecraft. And don't consider "zerg"ing in a game like this. It's a waste of time and other people's patience. This isn't your usual strategy g

I realise they didn't have all that much time; I'm not complaining about it :P I'm just saying "hey, it would be cool if they could do this". I mean, even HW didn't really have breaking up ships. They had an animation of capital ships with explosions all over the ship, and debris afterwards, but no actual breaking up.

Apologies for inconsistency between my argument and the game's siege frigates - I haven't played it and am going by the assumption that the siege frigate is analogous to present-day arty. (Obviously...) In my opinion though, if it's so heavily armoured that the AI can use it in a rush, then it's missing the point that
its designed to compliment the primary assault by taking out the planet while you suppress defenses.
I'd be much happier if it were lightly armoured and

Just a point, but this is a pet peeve of mine (and probably irrelevant); I'm sure psugar would agree:
SD is known for its deep gameplay that builds to a crescendo as the game progresses
A crescendo is not a climax; one doesn't build towards it in the way you mean. The crescendo is itself that build-up. The crescendo is the movement towards the climax. Terribly sorry to bother with such irrelevancies... but I can't read them without prejudices... To

*shrug* I guess those are valid points, guys - and thanks. And actually, I sort of agree now - Fobok's reference to that quote (wasn't it an interview with a staff member?) is indeed a good one, though I must state that this idea of taking out the enemy's factories was more of a common sense thing, instead of a pre-made formula. But having heard how hard it would be actually to accomplish this, I concede the point. Thanks :P
