god i hope u r right buddy.
Look, mate, I don't think it's all that good an idea to start an argument about "who's right", or even to say that you *hope* they're right with a dev. You'll just lose. So to be entirely honest, I think case closed. Devs came through again - even assurances can quell a rebellion :P
Sibilantae
:) Enjoy!
Thank you everyone; this post was basically a repeat of the other one, and probably shouldn't have been put up, more so since I haven't played this yet :P I ask your forgiveness.
There you go. It seems Australians have an isolationist complex that insists that they're undergoing special circumstances; no offence meant to Volco or others at all :) Besides, I am one...
Within seconds? Is the a.i. cheating?
I think he misphrased. He probably meant that his capital is taken out within seconds of the siege frigate spam engaging him.
One word: Unions. But really, doesn't this discussion belong somewhere else? And Danosh has stated that he made his remark in jest, so I think those of us who believe Howard is blamed unfairly for a lot of things (I mean, regardless of the interest rates situation; I just don't know enough, it seems :P ) can back down a little.
Sorry, but I don't understand; what is the significance of that? Surely it comes to the same thing?
In the beta, apparently Aus players could go anywhere, so it's clearly an introduced thing, though I don't think they intended to do this to Australians. Remember that Europeans also won't be able to join US games, and when IC fixes the Europe problem, the Aus problem will be automatically (since it's a bit closer... isn't it?) fixed. I'm sure they didn't actually mean to lock us out.
Oh good. I was in a blind panic for a moment there.

Baroque music, Renaissance music, Romantic music, techno, perhaps a bit of Linkin Park, and only then Classical (1750-1813)... In order of preference :P
Well said! Apologies, then, for the post start I just did :P
Hi guys, In another post entitled "No Australia vs. the World" Australian gamers have voiced their concerns that they cannot access American games, due to a ping limit. I personally have not played the game, but I wanted to make sure from the devs that this can be fixed. I honestly think if this is not addressed then a huge part of the Australian market will ignore the game. I, for one, don't want that to happen, at least partly due to my loyalty to SD and, indeed, to IC. Could som
That is possibly the best post I have ever seen on here. CLEVER!!!
Have heart; it'll almost certainly change (...in my opinion :P )!
No z-axis? That's odd. Have you tried the tilde (~) key? Apparently that activates it.
:P Perhaps, but look how many Australians there are on this forum. And we're only the people enthusiastic enough to be part of Stardock! Imagine all the other people who might be mildly interested in this, out of the RTS community in Australia... besides, it's uncharacteristic of companies like IC to ignore customer complaints... Let's wait and see what happens... if they don't do anything (which I doubt), then you are, obviously, right. :P
Lacking one dimension? Do you mean the z-axis? If so, then know with comfort that the z-axis is included in gravity wells. Digital download should be available universally (or rather, planetwide :P), eh?
Forgive me, sir! I'm no good at detecting lightheartedness on forums :P *bow* I submit to your superior intellect :P That said, though, isn't ping merely an indicator of responsiveness, rather than computer processing? Have I got something wrong here? I thought that the multi game would slow down to the lowest FPS, not to the lowest responsiveness... is this right? If so, then there should be an update. Even if not, the lack of an update will be the potential loss of a huge market in Au
Just to point out, in HW2 with a strike group, the cap ships and I think the frigates as well would merely get into range and fire. One distinct difference was the Hiigaran destroyer, which would rotate broadside to fire main cannons as well as torpedoes. Maybe the sight of those destroyers rotating would create the illusion of constant movement? Perhaps another exception is that since the AI tended to move their frigates, destroyers etc. constantly, the player's frigates would move forward
You should know the government has very little control on what the RBA decides, so pipe down. If you want to blame Howard for something, blame him for things that he is actually guilty for. But Rudd might well fix it! I agree on that point, at least.
Calm down, everyone. I'm sure the devs will find a solution. They usually do. Rudd's ok, but just because we can't access other games because of low pings isn't Howard's fault - be at least fair. As for me, once I get the game, SP will last me :P Enjoy the game! In any way you can for the time being, of course :P
Thank you for that! It's not often someone references their posts.
I'm glad you all agree :P Bob, though your input it much appreciated, don't use the word simplistic unless you know what it means, for crying out loud! Simplistic is BAD: It means "overly simplified, simple beyond reasonableness"; you seem to be ignoring some posts. We've already said that the z-axis will be allowed, and you're only now catching up? READ! It does help if you read what other people say before you reply to them. Come on! How many times do we have to repeat ourselv
Sir;
Has anyone not realized that people are arguing gameplay elements against what was stated about the design of the ENGINE? Not even going to get into how moot this is.
If you look just above your post you'd see I said pretty much the same thing. We're in this together, it seems :P
